I never completely understood why he was let go from the Tonight Show. He's brilliant. He has an ability to be both a Jay Leno (non-edgy all around fun guy) and a David Letterman (dry, edgy, gonzo). At the least they should have put him on later at night. And CBS definitely should have picked him to replace Letterman at the Late Show.
