Many years ago Ted Dansom was with his wife, kids and father at a restaurant in Sedona. I was with my family at the next tanle and very concerned that we not gawk and not say anything to him. Just as we got our food, he and fam left. there was a large courtyard which i could see. Ted was mobbed by a ton of fans wanting pictures and autographs. He was such a kind man that he must have signed his name and posed for pics for at least a half hour. A lot of patience and class.

Ted and Woody being this close decades after Cheers is great. Their chemistry on screen was so cool. The transition of Sam becoming a mentor to Woody after being the mentee to Coach and Woody becoming a great Robin (sidekick to Sam’s Batman) was always something to look forward to watching Cheers. The writers knew what to give them and they knew where to take it to make it hilarious. Cheers! You’re funny too, Conan.

This was a really interesting interview, learned a thing or two about Conan that I hadn't yet known, same with Ted and Woody! I was fortunate enough to meet Woody Harrelson very briefly as an 11/12 year old kid bussing tables at my family's fine dining restaurant here in downtown Austin TX called Green Pastures, it was a party, a wedding, maybe even New Year's Eve (those and Halloween parties were always epic) I just remember accidentally bumping into him (literally, i was coming back inside from the people partying outside and he said "oh hey there young man, you alright?" I said "yes sir I'm very sorry it's so crowded in here and im just glad i didn't spill these drinks on you or at all. Can i get you anything?". Woody said "actually you can, just answer me this: are you sneaking a few unfinished drinks to get a buzz?". He laughed and smiled and said he was joking and introduced himself to me and I already knew who he was and thats when I finally felt comfortable enough to say "oh i know Mr Harrelson I've seen you on Cheers (at that time I had already seen almost every episode of Cheers and loved Woody in it). I'd seen a couple of other things he was in including natural born killers around age 10/11 and he thought that was wild 😂 He said "are you seriously working here? How old are you?" I told him my grandfather owned the restaurant and thet blew his mind, moments later my uncle (then the CEO/President) came out from the kitchen and said "oh hey Woody i see you've met my nephew Jimmy". I can't remember every detail but some more words were briefly exchanged and Woody politely excused himself, shook my hand and said I was a "really good kid, you're cool man, great to meet you, maybe I'll see ya again someday, take care Jimmy!" I've met a few other celebrities snd Michael Dell once who was apparently friends with my grandfather (no idea how they met, wish i remembered!)

Dear Ted and Woody, (Ted in particular) I just wanted to express my excitement and admiration. Your work has always been a source of joy for me, and there's one movie in particular that holds a special place in my heart: "Getting Even with Dad." When I was younger, my mom, grandma, and I would often watch it together. It was one of our favorite movies, and the dynamic between you, Macaulay, and the rest of the cast was truly memorable. I have fond memories of those days, and your performance as well as your look in that movie had a unique influence on me. I remember being particularly inspired by your long hair in the movie. It left such an impression that it motivated me to grow my own hair out. To this day, you and Samson (from the Bible) are the main reasons I proudly wear my long hair. In fact, I am the only German who finished his mandatory military service with long hair! With this in mind, I think it would be incredible if you could have Macaulay Culkin as a guest on your podcast. It would be amazing to hear you both reminisce about the film and your experiences together. I'm sure many fans, like myself, would love to hear those stories. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and for continuing to create great content. Looking forward to more episodes of the podcast! Warm regards, Manfred

My mom has two yearbooks with Harrison Ford's picture in it from Maine East High School. She was 2 years younger than him. And if you look at his young photos from high school and college years he looks just kind of average and non-distinct. He has generally short tight generic haircut, large ears, a prominent forehead and his iconic chin and cheekbones were kind of not quite developed yet. I think it wasn't until his mid-20s that he started to get a bit of that distinct style that poked out. So it is possible that they were trying to make him blend into the woodwork a bit less.
