'And Her Name Was Maud' is a comic strip by Frederick Burr Opper. It first appeared in the Hearst newspapers on July 24, 1904. Maud was a revenge-seeking mule belonging to farmer Si Slocum and his wife Mirandy. Most of the action was a build-up to Maud kicking someone into the air. Si was the most frequent victim.

I absolutely love the progression of these episodes...they begin with funny, then Conan starts ramping up...by the time he's raving about Moddie and Shittzy (grandparents) and the country club kicking them out, Sona is almost on the floor, Gorley is nearly flatlining, and he's still not quite at peak. Moments later Sona can't breathe and Matt is dead.
@TLguitarАй бұрын
8:16 I like how Conan immediately switches the voices so the worker of a prestigious, stuck-up 1960s country club starts talking like a random person off the street while his own Irish Pirate persona speaks like a 19th century detective.

Conan is absolutely correct in stating that he really wouldn't fit into the country club milieu, especially in Brookline. As way of explanation and understanding it should be noted that there are two golf courses located in Brookline, Massachusetts - "The Robert T. Lynch Municipal Brookline Golf Course - AKA the "Public Golf Course" and "The Country Club" (no other adjective, descriptor, or modifier added, it was just the "THE". While Conan could have probably been a caddy at THE (but not if Conan was Conan), the Municipal Course would have welcomed him and any of his witticisms and/or hijinks with open arms!
