Did you know, the actor who played Subotai is Legendary Hawai’ian surfer Gerry Lopez. He was the first “King of Pipeline”

Yup.. heard the story awhile back. They wanted a guy who was kinda like Gerry Lopez or looked like him, so they actually went and hired him! Those were the days..! He was a great Subotai!

Yes, Valeria is a great figure! You can always find a Conan but rarely a Valeria, especially in this scale! I also wish the weapons were sold seperately, but it was one of the main reasons for me to get the set as that was the only way. Otherwise, I would have passed on another Thulsa Doom...

nice lineup. thulsa headsculpt has been great with each release but conan has definitely improved

I need to dig out my older Thulsa Dooms, but looking at my old photos and videos, I think the sculpt is pretty much the same and just the paint job has improved on this latest version? I think dulling down the shiny plastic helps make these look better, so I might someday try to spray a dull coat of my older figures.

The helmeted head for TD sits way too high because there was a fur piece underneath the first version. Didn’t notice till I got one. Returning it.

Thulsa Doom is very similar to the wave 1 version but I think his new head sculpt looks better or is just better painted and he has a cool wired cape.

If you missed the first one, this is much better in my opinion, so just don't bother with the first one if you get this new version!

Yes, it is removable, but will take a bit of work. You need to pop off the arm guard armor that plugs into the chest armor at the back and front and then pop off the head and work the armor off. Probably a little heating with a blow dryer will help a little too to make the armor softer and easier to work off the body, though not really necessary if careful.

@@MarlotheCollector thanks a Lot for your report. It just so happens that while i LOVE this line, we still don't have a Conan we could consider a "regular" Conan. This One though, with the chest armor off AND with the extra, short haired head (i say this because epic pose Conan does come with an extra head from the start of the film with longer hair), could maaaaybe pass as something similar to the Conan from the last few scenes when he infiltrates Doom's mountain. He Is actuallly wearing the same pants as THIS figure, but with no amor covering His cimmerian balls either hahahaha

Another way could be to use THIS Conan's extra, neutral head, on the "iconic pose" body, for a more standard Conan. But I wonder ir the skin tones marcha.

NECA does a much better job with Schwarzenegger figures, for less money. I hate those shiny Super7 skins.

I agree..! Neca goes for more realism whereas Super7 is just keeping these in that sorta semi-Masters of the Universe style or they Ultimate Style. The shiny skins also annoy me, so I'll most likely spray these with a clear dull cote later on.
