Watching this as an adult, I realize how much this movie is pure D&D. We have a barbarian, a rogue archer, and a fighter breaking breaking into the evil fortress because a king sent them on a quest to rescue his daughter from an evil wizard. Tell me that's not D&D

I love how Conan the Barbarian manages to be an awesome fantasy action movie while deviating from the original story. This Conan is more like Kull in terms of his backstory, yet he's still able to be respectful of the vision of Robert E. Howard.

But he became friends with James Earl Jones, who plays Thulsa Doom, and he gave Arnold lessons to improve his acting, which is very noticeable in later films. In return, Arnold helped Jones train his body.

Truly regettable Arnold did NOT make 3rd series. I know Preditor was good but he and produsoer still could have made. In fact, Arnond is still and still can do most of acting, NOT like ready to die actors just show up and barely moving so easy stuffs, but all the moving stunds are done by youngster like Lee Van Cliff, Joey McCresa sat in a hours, just sold film, but he did not anything except showing his body sat in horse, I guess he could not even walk!
