“Nobody is tracking you in the way you think that they are” this is such a helpful reminder, THANK YOUUU
@craigjgomez Жыл бұрын
Especially because people are dealing with their own lives and challenges that are all consuming. The day that I have the time to care about what's going on in Conan O'Brien's life will be the day they bury me. So yes, not only is nobody tracking you but also, some of us get a little tired of hearing Conan go on and on about how great he is. In truth, I wish him and his family all the best in health and success but beyond that, I really don't give a s**t.

This is so much of a better format for Conan to really connect with his guests. They could never have such spontaneous organic conversations within the constraints of a live TV show.

Conan seems to come from an accomplished family, yet he has a way of relating to most people. I liked how he began his story about stretching his breakfast as he was deciding what to do with his day, his career and the path he would ultimately take. He’s witty, funny and humble!!

This is Conan's best show ever. I was going to say that I wish he'd done this much earlier, but I think you probably must have had a certain anmount of life experience in the talk show/late night host game before having the depth of insight and connections he has currently to be able to have in-depth conversations like these -- but interlaced with the Conan style of comedy.
@sicilianchiangchang7320 Жыл бұрын
Is interlaced that they're doing the show because somebody said it on Kor TV with a Costco dude saying he's paying every 16 year Old's cheek para para and scholarships.

While I liked Conan's show, I like him more on these podcasts. You see more of who he really is. He's an interesting guy who's lead an interesting life. He's obv also really good at interviewing guests in a way he could never do on traditional late night. I also like the fact that Sona is his 'partner'. She's great when she butts in and provides commentary. Wish she did it more, but still glad she's on the podcast. She was always great when she appeared on his late night. She felt like the non-crazy part of Conan, the down-to-earth aspect of his _over-the-top_ show, especially when she poked fun at Conan, heh heh.

I love how truly a global response is to someone who does not or did not drink (alcohol). I grew up in a family where we had alcohol up on a shelf for guests. I very rarely saw my parents have a glass of wine for example and I know my father drank once or twice a year when he went to a party with his friends or if they went together with my mom. I personally just don't like the taste. I tried various types of drinks as a teenager, but nothing made me want to take a second sip. When I was 22 I finally decided I need to get drunk to go through the experience and it was nothing special. After crawling to the bathroom to vomit, followed by a good night's sleep, I had no desire to try again. I have nothing against responsible drinking, but that's just not for me.

And I don't know Ms Caplan at all (thanks to the commenter that put her name here) .. But then holy cow, this was SO entertaining. Part of it is because I worked in Cambridge a couple years after Mr O'Brien graduated so mental imagery is easy and helps. But yep, I hit that subscribe button.

And I´m not talking about that silly "OMG I STAN" apotheosis BS that it's so common in comments section but the genuine "he really is a great guy" feel that we get from Conan. I am so glad I found him so many years ago and that I have seen him evolve (and his staff) throughout the years. Such an inspirational guy.

The first three minutes or so of this video remind me of tales about actors who wouldn't want to do television in the early days of television because they were stage actors and it would harm their reputation if they demeaned themselves by falling to that level, but it's a paycheck. Do it cuz they'll pay you and The Play's The Thing anyway. Doesn't matter what medium it is. Conan admitting this podcast was his friends' idea and he's like, "but I do television!" Then he realizes doing a podcast with friends is just fun. *shrug*
