Conan has mentioned the execs in charged during that fiasco are all gone on Letterman several years ago. It looks like the current leadership has made peace, and for the fans realize these old clips should be available to him. Also apparently at the Tonight Show exhibit, they acknowledge Conan's brief tenure and have some props from his time on the show. In hindsight it's just sad how it played out, but at least the leaders in charged then are lone gone.
