Introduction to Concave Lenses:
Explain that concave lenses are formed by connecting two spherical surfaces that curve inward.
they are also known as diverging lenses.
Image Formation by Concave Lenses:
When an object is placed at infinity:
A virtual image is formed at the focus (F1).
The image size is much smaller than the object.
When an object is placed at a finite distance from the lens:
A virtual image forms between the optical center and the focus.
The image size is diminished compared to the object.
Ray Diagrams:
Illustrate the path of rays using ray diagrams.
Shows how the lens diverges light to form virtual images.
