Strong side carry in the 5 or 6 oclock position, let the gun naturally rest on the side of your butt cheek. Also a holster that let's you adjust ride height helps alot

Pocket carry a smaller pistol, like a Sig 365 is a specifically designed pocket holster. I pocket carry most of the time.

I usually pull my cannon out from an open ziper and my belt still strapped. No falling guns nor pants. But nowadays dudes have to wear girl trousers so that might not be a good option...

I live in a state where you can open carry. To me open carry is a far greater deterrent. Criminals are looking for easy prey.

Open carry means you have given up your element of surprise. You don’t get to wait for your turn, you have to take it instantly when the threat is more than likely looking right at you. I don’t like those odds.
