OK, seriously... If duct tape is so plentiful and readily available, what bad guy is only using one layer to restrain THAT guy?? I can tear through a single or double layer of Gorilla tape without thinking about it... But a bad guy is going to look at me and know to use more. You know... Because it's cheap and readily available.

Nice to see Clint is with 511. Good ideas or you can just have massive grip strength allowing you to bend nails with your hands so you can merely snap the tape by moving your wrists. Another benefit to being able to bend nails with your hands is you can snap the throat of the dude taping you up.

Not trying to be a dick. But, minus the cutting implement and possibly abrasion technique, give me the rapists good ol’ 6-10 wraps of duct tape (or more have been found on victims) and try that wedge or squat thingies. Not happening. So. Moral of the story: hope the assailant(s) are stupid to only give 2 or 3 wraps and have access to a blade or rough corner of some sort lol!

So many survival tips for US people and still when any kind of trouble strikes they all go "OHMAGARD HELP US" and forget each and every survival tip they watched and learned. P.S. I kinda doubt any of those tips, well apart from hiding razorblade in 5.11 branded hidden waist pocket and using it later, will fly if you're getting tied with cable ties instead of duct tape.
