Concentric only exercises are great to build strength, power, and can be easier on the joints since it is limiting the eccentric stress from the exercise.
Performing a movement with an emphasis only on the concentric phases involves a higher level of nervous system involvement. Working at higher bar speeds and velocities that you may not experience otherwise. Over time this can help increase strength, and even muscle hypertrophy, as there are other factors that lead to strength besides moving heavy weights around. Sometimes we have to move light to moderate weights around as violently as possible.
These exercises are performed from a dead stop position and executed as explosively as possible before quickly returning to the starting position. While it is referred to as concentric only you do have to somewhat control the implement back to the starting position. I would not recommend just dropping a dumbbell or barbell with complete abandonment. Limited eccentric involvement may be a more appropriate term.

Might as well do a clean or a clean press n drop weight. Those military presses were definitely eccentrically loaded

Except for the dead lift and maybe some of the pressing stuff, that’s not concentric only. You are still controlling the weight on the way down for most of them
