Loved this guy! Great interview. I especially appreciate that he acknowledges that sometimes the academic setting is best, bc some people are simply not disciplined enough to follow through with a self-taught curriculum.

Absolutely. It's a HUGE percentage of the aspiring artist market in my experience. Self-taught requires a huge amount of discipline and maturity which, at least in my own experience, comes with time -not early on in one's career. But there are outliers for sure!
