I'm struck with ctrl my detail + subdivision actually if I start from head with minimal level of subdivision then I add some subtools and merge it ! Tht point my whole work struck by tha way finally I lose my detail in some place or I struck with too high polygons plz help me !

@ 06:35 is it a good idea to subdivide it or can i just go up a little bit with the resolution in the dynamesh? after al i am still quiet unsure when go up with dynamesh-resolution or divide the mesh:/ Thank you guys alot, what a great channel!

You can definitely go up a bit with dynamesh :) I'd only subd it once Im happy with the design. It's a lot harder to change the design once you have subded it. /H

Another great video. Thanks guys. I'm definitely gearing up my skills and moving towards purchasing premium content. Question if possible? Is subdivide needed if you just boost the detail on dynamesh? I was working on an exercise where i had subdivided a couple of times for detail and then dynameshed but it was set at lower detail. It made me wonder if dynamesh might make subdivide redundant?

Hey Rob! Thanks a ton. It's a really good question actually, one I see students have all the time. Subdivisions arent really a competitor to dynamesh, as they work well together. If you have a model which is 4 million polys, but comprised of 4 subd levels, performance will be great. However, if you have a 4 mill poly model with dynamesh, it will be incredibly sluggish. I normally use dynamesh to get to a level where the silhouette doesnt change anymore, then I subd it up to add more resolution. Hope this helps! :) H

I also find that having lower subdivision levels available is really helpful when you find out that some big forms don't really work and need to tweak them without destroying everything into muddy mess.
