I got 5 years off my brake pads with slotted and drilled rotors. Longer than stock. I have a lift and bigger tires too so they shouldn't have lasted 5 years but there the carbon fiber pads

I never understand people. Why do people want high end vehicles and not take care of them or have the money to take care of them until it gets BAD? Do we not clean the oil off of the rotors with brakekleen and lube the slides and back of the pads ? Honest question

if you buy quality rotors, there is no oil on the rotors, cause cheap rotors have a layer of oil to prevent them to rust during shipping, and also if you also use quality pads that fit perfectly in the clips, they don't make noise... this car will not have any issues with noises or squeaks.

@@williamchang5023 The reason I asked is I just put brakes on my car about 3 months ago . I went with R1C rotors and pads and they definitely were oiled down from the factory. Everything went on without a hitch but I have a slight grinding noise when turning hard in either direction at low speed from the front … can’t figure it out 😅

@@nickskolsky2560 I had a similar issue on my 86 when I ordered my first set of R1C Rotors/pads, turned out that I recieved the incorrect size of rotors because I have the TRD 86 with stock Brembo and they sent me the standard ones. Scared the hell outta me at first but luckily figured it out quickly and got it corrected before I did any real damage.
