I have sopranissimo,soprano,concert,tenor,and a baritone but i love concert ukulele because its not the smallest and the biggest so i prefer concert beacause my concert ukulele is an electric ukulele And its my favorite ukulele in collection i have 6 ukuleles and 1 guitar.

I generally think concert is a lot better for preforming and more modern music from artists like BoyWithUke, or songs like Looking out For You and Riptide, howevee the soprano can definitely give that classic hawaiian feel to it. both are good for a person's preference!

The ukulele was developed from the Portuguese guitar, an antecedent of the modern acoustic. I would say that the concert ukulele is probably closer in size and therefore in sound to the original ukuleles that would have first appeared on the island.

I have a soprano ukulele (specifically the kala color chord) and it's really good for what it costs. It's a $45 instrument, it's made of plastic, comes with some useful accessories, has some of the chords marked on the fretboard to help beginners learn. I got it as a kid and it's served me well for about 5 years now, though I do want to upgrade to a larger uke. Probably a tenor.
