it's about time for another eivor reaction, isn't it? she has so many magnificent material, i would expect at least to find minimum five, six eivor-reactions on your channel. she played very recently a whole concert with einar selvik from wardruna and the danish symphonic orchestra, it's called the symphonic viking voyage. and she has a lot of phenomenal solo accoustic material and live studio material.

Band-Maid always brings an ONSET of love, appreciation and happiness to their viewers. Why? Because they're so damn good -- good-natured, good-hearted, good-looking, and beyond good as writers, players and performers. Wow, right?! Thx, Stratele!

"Tip of the iceberg" is definitely an understatement. "Onset" was the video that convinced me that I wasn't just imagining their talent and that I was seeing genius. I stumbled across Band-Maid two years ago and was astounded by what I found: an 8 year deep catalog of impressive music that only got better release after release. These ladies do it all: write, record, produce. Their talent as musicians is only exceeded by their song-writing ability. Band-Maid is a song-writing machine cranked to eleven with a broken "Off" switch: the next Band-Maid song you hear will be your new all time favorite. I watched them live twice this year and they put on a show you will not forget. Watch them perform "Hate?" at Lollapalooza 2023 or any of their August 2023 North American tour dates and be amazed by some of the best Rock-n-Roll ever.

Yep, Akane may not play drums in the flashiest way, but as you say, she plays them with authority and precision like Swiss clockwork. And always with creativity or support for the other instruments. The fact that she has such a charming smile on top of that, puts the crown on the whole thing. 🔥🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Forever!"_ 」 - from *BAND-MAID* - 'Manners' 🎶🕊

@@GaryHolloway-810 haha. Being inquisitive is a good thing. Dice, Domination-Live, Freedom-Live. That's the order of what YT recommended. After Dice I was just WOW. Then after Domination and Freedom I thought "this cannot be". Then after Onset I thought "It can be". I maybe paraphrasing my thoughts but the superlatives started flying. And haven't stopped. The Pope can definitely authenticate this as a miracle that they even appeared as a YT suggestion. Let alone me choosing to watch Dice. I only chose to watch it because it was called Dice. As dice was my main casino game. If any other vid was suggested first I most likely would not be writing this comment.🎲🎲A miracle indeed. 😎

@@jkkansasband7056 Wow very cool. And then i bet you did what all of us have done & binge watched every song & reaction & learn as much as possible about the Maids that you could. I did hear that the Pope was giving a speech in the Vatican & a statue of the virgin Mary started crying. People were hailing it as a miracle until someone pointed out that a guy was playing "About Us" on his phone.😏

@@GaryHolloway-810 LOL. Bingeing might be an understatement. 2-4 hours every night for at least 6 months. Listening to songs on repeat took up a lot of time. Hadn't done stuff like that in decades. I had 7 years of catching up and then Unseen World came out which was another level I had to absorb. Now that I work from home it's just transferred to daytime instead of at night. But it is pretty much almost everyday for almost 3 years now. It truly is unique. 🎸🥁🎤

Musician/producer ought to have plenty to analyze and talk about with Band Maid. They do much more inside their songs than most artists. They have tremendous respect for each other, which translates into balanced approaches to arrangements. And they truly love their fans, which means they’re usually smiling while giving 110% on every song. “Blooming,” is considered by many to be the quintessential Band-Maidiest song. It has all their trademarks.

Band-Maid does this and other instrumental songs to give the singer a vocal break. "Without Holding Back" and "From Now On" are two more great instrumental songs from these amazing ladies. Some would think Band-Maid is only a instrumental band, but they have many more songs which include the singer! Their latest song, "Shambles" feature the drummer, Akane, and bassist, MISA, pretty heavily, and is an awesome song!

I found this band more than 4 years ago. As a drummer the first thing I focused in on was the drums. When I clicked the video I had assumed this was just another Pop-Idol group where the girls just sing and dance and I was planning to click away pretty quick. But from the first ("Start Over") the Drummer was clearly playing. It went from this kind of light guitar pop to slowly built up piece that had me clicking on the next one on the list: "Thrill." A total throwback to 80s Hard Rock nearly Metal. The drummer is sprinkling in double pedals and just keeping it rock solid. At this point I'm impressed enough to keep going. "Real Existence" is what put me over the edge. Akane (I had read the comments to find out her name at this point) goes completely Keith Moon wild on the drums while never losing control. Each verse, each chorus and the guitar solo all have multiple sub sections on the drums, and it is simply amazing. Simple, but ever moving, changing and perfectly locked into the rest of the music. So, after watching every last official video on their channel multiple times, made my first iTunes purchase EVER (and first money spent on new music in DECADES) I called up a friend of mine who had played guitar professionally in Japan back in the 90s. "Dude, I just found THE MOST AMAZING Japanese band! and they're all girls! and all dressed up li...." "Oh, you found Band-Maid, here, let me send you a link" ONSET. I think I cried.

Oh, you like Akane, the drummer. Next time try 'Freedom' LIVE. It has her one and only full drum solo. You'll love it! If you want to see technique check out another of their instrumentals. If you want to see one of the best drum solos on the planet check this one out. Akane has a full 30 second solo, that of course, in BandMaid fashion, fits in seamlessly with the song. Most of their songs feature short solos by each band member. Miku, who formed the band, told the other girls she wanted to form a band where they "dressed up really cute, and then ripped their faces off with hard rock." Mission accomplished!

Thanks for the great reaction! I don't know if you noticed. Misa (bassist) is picking, then tucks the pick up under her fingers to slap, then goes back to picking without missing a beat. Something she does all the time. Very rare talent from what I understand. If you're interested go back to 2:50. Happens right at 2:56. It's hard to see. Might need slo mo. BTW, the outfit she wears is actually some form of Ninja garb. She plays barefoot, kills the bass every time, so has become known as "The Barefoot Assassin". Oh, I almost forgot. Was voted by the other girls in the band as having the "Best Boobs." These girls are hilarious off stage, tell dirty jokes backstage, but have to explain them to the Lead guitarist, Kanami.

Hello....enjoy your channel.....being a drummer, it's easy to see why I love this band. Their musicianship is second to none on the rock scene. There is not a weak link in this band, normally I really enjoy instrumentals more than a conventional song with lyrics......but I really have to say is that you are really missing out on hearing this band without vocals. They are easily as strong as the rest of the band and their lead vocalist can control a crowd beautifully. The back up singer blends with the lead vocalist so well and produces some amazing vocals. Take a listen to Blooming....it's a fan favorite and would be a great intro to the whole band for you. I would listen to MV on this track so you can really catch the vocal subtle aspects of the song....there is a lot going on.
