Came for Wycliffe, stayed for Frank's Summertime, man laid a piece of his soul into that last note. Incredible.

Wycliffe's solo at around 9:30 is about the most monstrous solo I've ever heard on trombone. Growled low notes and trumpet range whines just start to show the skill that guy's got, like damn. It's great inspiration for all bone players.

Quel bonheur.

I would like to ask for your guidance. Does anyone know where the CD/DVD of this video is sold? I love his trombone, and this song in particular is heavenly. I'm a Japanese student, so I'm really disappointed that I can't go listen to him, and I respect him.

Did the bass player mess up at 11:00? Or why did the trumpet look back at him
@loganready56345 жыл бұрын
Adolfo Ortiz nah I think he did it just becose he is a little twit always going. uH hUh
@BrodieFamPlays3 жыл бұрын
@Adolfo Ortiz Well the bass player is writing his own basslines as goes and he played a "stank" note basically, so Wynton looked back because it sounded good in a bad way.
