I went and wasted time getting 1 extra secret pet to help me and keep getting to the Monkey pet only for it to have 10x the attack speed that nukes my 3rd pet while my second pet is stunned unable to do anything. I will be writing blizzard a very swear filled and firm letter once I get this pointless ground mount which honestly is a joke in of itself. I just see the 3 month anniversary event *which was done that poorly like it was slapped together overnight and this secret for a ground mount to distract players to the fact that The War Within offers nothing once you hit Level 80.

Just get three of those pets and level them up some of them on the list are pretty easy to get and you might have some already if you played previous expansions or events of the past. I had two of them already and had no idea. Also if you have pet charms you can buy an upgrade in your garrison in Draenor. Plus the battle pet bonus starts today i think.

The secret pets are easy to get Two of them can be picked up from Drustvaar ,the pig and the wicker pup. The other one spyra can be gotten from doing the dracthyr augement spec class quest. Others are easy to get also. But the battle itself is a deal breaker you have to rely on pure luck not get crit for 1k plus. If you loot anything whilst in ghost form the skull has a daily lockout. This is the worst so called anniversary gift you could imagine. Blizzard have no idea new players cannot even access some areas or zone etc if they haven't completed content. On top of this are phasing issues. This should've been a puzzle quest ,that all can participate in, and allow the mount to be truly a gift.

Thank you for the guides. As much as people dont want to admit it is actually very easy to get the battle pets to 25. I went to a battle pet person and bought Ultimate Battle-Training Stone. On use instantly trains any battle pet to gain 25 levels. I had enough for 5 each Stone costs 35 battle tokens. 35x3=105 battle tokens

I just finished raising my 3 pets to level 25. I did the Taptaf, Spyragos and Wicker Pup quests, all very easy. To level them up from lvl 1 to lvl 25 I followed the game's tutorial quest about battle pets, fought with the trainers and leveled up my pets around. It took me 4 days to play calmly, watching some videos while I was leveling, it's not as difficult as people say

Both are located in Drustvar and Taptaf took me less than 3 minutes to get and Wicker Pup less than 10 minutes. I also just now obtained Glimr and it’s EASY too but you have to do a quest line of about 7 or so quests that are easy and mostly underwater in the Grizzly Hills area. This is NOT HARD. The pet battle part though, I have not done yet and I’m also going to have to level my pets now.

Killed with Taptaf (2,2,1) , Terky (1,1,2) and Wicker Pup (2,2,1). Use Stench then Lick and pray to RNGesus that the Eye misses some attacks, hit with comeback, reapply Stench and Lick when it runs out. On Tonk I used Terky with Acid touch and Stampede, refreshing acid touch when it ran out, and going back to stampede. Terky died before the tonk did, but I finished him off with Wicker Pup's Chaos Nova (also damaging the Monkey). Then do Shadow Slash until his health is low enough that Ghostly bite will one shot him, the falling banans will kill your Wicker pup, but he will get back up thanks to Undead passive thus winning you the fight. GL!

@@thunderbryan She's in Tanaris, where the anniversary is taking place. She's on the stage in the Pet section. She's a little girl named Squirt. You can also try /target Squirt and it might target her for you. Additionally, you can also purchase pet leveling stones at your Garrison or I believe in Legion Dalaran.

Also, fun fact, if you leave the area to maybe pick up some bandages so you don't have to wait the eight minutes, you will also be locked out of being able to talk to the skull until reset even if you did not trigger the spirits or loot the chest. Correction, logging out and back in seems to allow you to talk to him again if this happens.

For those of us stupid enough to actually do this, here are the 3 easiest pets to get off the list: Terky, Wicker Pup, and Taptaf. It took me about a half hour to get all 3. **UPDATE** - If you mess up, Zarhym despawns and it takes a while for him to respawn. On Wowhead it says his timer is 15 mintes but I'm about 45 minutes into the wait and he's still not here, so I think that time frame is BS.

If you loot anything and fail you get a daily lockout. If you leave the cave to go do something and come back but can’t enter spirit realm you can exit the game and it’ll reset. Spyragos takes like 15min to get. Nelthara is a quick 2 step quest if you have an evoker already.

So I used Baa'l 1-1-2, Terky 2-1-2, and Wicker Pup 2-1-1. Baa'l Curse of Doom, Scorched Earth, and Shadow Flame until he dies. The eye was still alive but the Curse of Doom took him out. Brought in Terky. Used Acid Touch, Flank a couple times, the Stampede. The tank resurrected when I brought in wicker Pup. Used Shadow Slash to finish him off. Then on the monkey used Ghostly bite, Shadow Slash, Consume Corpse. I died, came back to life, used ghostly bite again and won. Could have been luck but I'll take it and maybe it will help someone else

For those not b!tch!ng about this quest: Taptaf and Terky took 5 mins to collect. Jennifur 20 mins. Takes about 3 hrs to level them up all together to 25. Just go for a stroll all over Kalimdor.

All of this is Blizz trying to be inclusive and utilize all the things they can during a secrets event. Everyone is used to having things drop in your lap this actually takes skill and thought deducing! You are like Sherlock Holmes and the games are afoot!!! Don't think of it in a negative way, its something that is different and fun in the game, it takes skill. Something that you have to work harder for is more worth the earning. And I realize some are ready to bow out, but how will you feel when someone rides by on that bad boy and you wish you had done it. be aware, Zahrym is on daily lockout, if you use the skull just from curiousity and dont do the pet pattle, you will have to wait for daily reset

Not true, as long as you do not loot anything in the spirit realm then it does not trigger the lockout

it took me maybe 40 minutes to go out and get 3 of the secret pets, all in Drustvar. Bumped each to 25 with the boost stone sold in your garrison. If you don't want to pay the gold, then put in the work and get them, it's not hard

im starting to feel left out. feels like these secrets are not designed for the general playerbase but only for a small subset of the community who spend time in the secret finding discord, but even there most opinions gets laughed out and in the end the only person who even enjoys these puzzles is josh who gets to see it unfold. id much rather smaller and more reasonable puzzles that i can sit down and solve ON MY OWN and feel rewarded for it. these puzzles are on a scale so large that its essentially impossible to solve alone without an army to scour every nook and cranny for you. and then what it boils down to for the rest of the community is just a tedious chore list to do to cross this off the list, meanwhile it all feels disconnected and confusing and frankly just wasted potential. i love puzzles if i can sit down and do them alone with a reasonable expectation. but to find the stupid uther tomb things or the little crystal in pandaria or a random npc in timeless isle ends up being goals set to amuse the puzzle designers and not the puzzle solvers. cringe bike, im out.

I got lucky I had 3 of the pets listed (Snowclaw Cub, Terky and Wicker Pup) but none of them level 25. Good thing I had battle stones and training stones in my war bank to upgrade them from green to blue and level 1 to 25. I failed like 17 straight so went and acquired a Jenafur and used my stones to upgrade her. After about 10 tries I beat the encounter, but some of the other players were complaining about not getting offered a quest which I was.

i see alot of ppl here stoped at this stage , i have a good news for you guys , just get the pets like in this video , all of them are easy to get , once u got them all go find world quest battle pets that will give you charm and put all your level 1 pets in slot and fight , you can farm alot of charms and buy that item ( forgot the name ) and use it on your pet instant level 25 , when your doing level 1 battle pet just find the right combo , just mouse over the world quest battle bet and see which type he is then go mouse over your pet and see if your first skill is arrow up or down , you can easly get 100 charm and buy the item ... GL everyone ♥

In order for any of us non-pet battle types to have any hope at this, we need a COMPLETE list of 'secret pets' or a definition of what is considered a 'secret pet'. I don't have any of the ones you listed on screen. However, I have plenty of blue 'rare' ones. I'm hoping that any 'named' pet in which a player might have would be considered so we could continue our journey with you.

EZ TIP - taptaf wicker pup and terky are easy to get, then go to you garrison and do the pet quest for instant level 25. do this on 2 other toons for all 3 to level 25. GL on the pet battle tho..

You can get these pets to level 25 easily from level one. Just go to the pet charm trader - Erani in Dornagal is at 58.48 65.03. For 35 polished pet charms you can get Ultimate Battle - Training Stone. This will take your pet immediately to level 25.

FOR EVERYONE frustrated about the pets, Taptaf is the EASIEST thing on earth to get. And Wicker Pup is super easy too but a tad more tedious. Both are located in Drustvar and Taptaf took me less than 3 minutes to get and Wicker Pup less than 10 minutes. I also just now obtained Glimr and it’s EASY too but you have to do a quest line of about 7 or so quests that are easy and mostly underwater in the Grizzly Hills area. This is NOT HARD. The pet battle part though, I have not done yet and I’m also going to have to level my pets now.

I beat him with Spyragos, Wicker Pup, and Nelthara. Started with Nelthara and used sandstorm. Then just kinda messed around and pressed through and eventually got it after like 30 tries. I am NOT a pet battler. I was in a party when I did it. I was the first one to beat him, and the others in my party could NOT get the quest for the muffin from Jeremy after I won the pet battle. This step for the bike is also BS. The 6th pillar was BS too.

Because not everyone has the same pets and luck. Sometime you have to rely on critical hits (and avoiding crit hits against you) which you have no way of replicating on purpose. However I am working on a video on the strategy I used to beat it, although a bit lucky, it may give some understanding on how to win it.

So, I attempted to do it using my normal darkmoon pets to beat him. While I beat him easily, it did not yield the quest. So You indeed need to use the 'special' pets listed above by Con Con. I used Ba'al, Terky and Wicker pup and I got the quest.

what secret pets are BEST to use in this pet battle?

For me, I used Spyragosa as my lead pet, using Darkness and then spam her dot against the Eye minion. Then, if I could ensure she was still standing into the second fight against the Tank, I would have her put her dot on the tank instead of using the flame breath since I found that extra 150-200 points of damage was enough to lead into my second minion, the Snow Cub with both of its ice-based attacks which are very effective against the tank. Though, I noticed when I started using that strat, the NPC would swap out the nearly fainted tank for the monkey, and at that point, it really just comes down to RNG and hoping that the monkey's DOT misses more then it hits. So, honestly, Spyrogosa, Snowcub, and then Taptaft to hopefully secure the win.

@@connortheicon751 True, they do, but the Snowcub (at least from my perspective) made up for that damage by being able to do around 700-800 damage with their two ice attacks. I found that I would usually be able to get the tank down to about 1500/1300 before Spyrogosa would faint, and the cub would be able to get it down to around 400/300 or so with its first ice attack (with an additional amount of damage if I placed a dot on the tank with Spyrogosa.) Also Tap is just there because I didn't have a third "Secret Pet" in comparison to Spyro and the Cub, but I believe you are correct on beasts taking more damage from his tank.

Once your at him, as long as you don't leave the cave he stays up, fought him 30 times and still failed. Monkey can attack 5 times to your 1.

Everything was going well until I reached this point. Doing a pet battle with secret pets at level 25 no less is out of most people's reach at this point. I was enjoying the puzzles and world exploration, but forcing people into a pet battle with a high difficult level is a pain and not enjoyable at all.

started this Felcycle Mount thing. done this part, looked at the next and went yeah NAH. You need too much other shit, Totally not worth the effort. I'm not 100% sure this is a " Gift" for 20 years of WoW but if it was, then they missed the mark. I Strongly Hope that once someone gets it we all get it. I have seen so many people just give up because they had not done every little thing over the last 20 years. A bunch are new from dragon flight & are missing 90% of the shit needed, hell I've seen several who cant afford the pug costume. TDLR: Cool idea. not much.
