Dirt, here's something to think about: If *Fairgame$* and *Marathon* also flop, PlayStation is going to be in trouble. With Concord having taken 8 years to develop, AND the purchase of the studio, they're easily $250+ million in the hole with Concord. Now imagine Concord is followed by two more flops, costing PlayStation hundreds of millions of dollars in losses. PlayStation is going to be in trouble after that happens - and I phrase it that way because there's a strong chance that Fairgame$ and Marathon will also flop.

Most live service games have rocky starts. Yet the rockiness was caused by the publisher. Investing all that time and money on cuts scenes for a multiplayer game, idk. Sony made some key mistakes here. They should have simultaneously released the game on PS+, and also launched it on xbox day 1 for purchase. These things almost certainly wouldn't have saved the game, but would have cut some of their losses at least. For the life of me I can't understand how a twisted metal game with multiplayer got cancelled and this got greenlit.

Publishing games on any platform other than your own, makes you a third party publisher on those platforms. So, both Sony and MS are third party publishers. Publishing on platforms WITHOUT owning one is FULL third party. If they are going to talk shyte, at least make sure it's accurate.

I can actually explain why reforged bought multiple copies. Concord will wind up in a landfill somewhere like et on the atari 2600 and he's hoping they will accrue in value for when he's 65. Even though this is not how games work anymore, it's a live service, games become collectible rare and expensive cause you could still enjoy them. You can't enjoy a copy of say auto assault anymore as it was a live service, or law breakers. And so they are now dead and worthless, so him buying Concord is just him wasting money cause he's as dumb and gullible as he looks. My little bro is the same way, he buys multiple copies of his switch and ps5 games cause he's convinced they will accrue in value, even though they will in fact not because their 1) on pc and will always be available on pc, 2) unplayable once servers close anyway (again except on pc where someone might revive them 3rd party)
