Nah exclusives are everythere. You can't enjoy your BigMac in Burger King. You can't watch Stranger Things on Amazon Prime. There is more examples. The best Era of Gaming was with exclusives. No exclusive means there is no need for an console. Im switching now from Xbox to Playstation. I don't give afck about the Xbox Eco system since I own my games on disc. Fresh start on Playstation without any headache about some devs skipping the stupid box. I couldn't play Helldivers 2 on release and I regret it. Since I was passionate about this game before release but tought maybe It will come to Xbox. Nope Xbox is the Only cuck in the market which is going one way. Xbox don't get any Playstation titles. We literally saw nothing one decade. Everything interesting is throwing out before release. Scalenound, Fable... Anyone who thinks Sony isn't going third-party after what happened with Death Stranding, Lego Horizon, and Freedom Wars and what Herman Hulst said about putting games on non-PlayStation platforms is in denial. Now thst it's on Xbox, I saw ponies saying Death Stranding is actually not a Sony game at all and that it's just a third-party game like Alan Wake 2. Herman Hulst literally has a cameo in Death Stranding on Xbox, ofc it's a Sony game. Ponies can cheer all they want about paying $70 for old Xbox games, but there WILL be more Sony games coming to Xbox and Nintendo consoles in the near future. That's a fact.

“Console exclusives” means no games only on a console and not PC. That don’t mean all Xbox games will go to PlayStation and vise versa. And that’s for platforms holders. Third party companies will put their games on all platforms. This is why tho, the next Xbox of the rumors are true will be such a beast. Because if indeed the next Xbox is a PC and console hybrid that could mean Xbox could finesse PlayStation games on Xbox(btw this is somewhat possible on Xbox consoles already chaoslounge made a video on it, playing god of war on Xbox series x)

I genuinely believe its because of two things. A lot of gamers are moving to PC and the last generation of ganers are not buying games like us older gamers used to (and still) do. My nephews, neices and friends kids play Fortnite, Roblox, Minecraft, GTA Online etc. They dont bother with single player games. The sales numbers on console are not what they used to be. I play on XBOX mainly so if some games have to go multiplat so I continue to get more games on Game Pass then im okay with that. I mean seriously look at the next 12 months of Game Pass, it is insane.

I've started my plans to move to PC/emulation in the next generation or so, I'm looking at companies that build PCs, I already have a Steam account and some games over there, if Apple gets their act together I just might be gaming on Mac lol. The whole industry is even moving towards multiplatform (except for a small Japanese village called Nintendo 🤭). E.g.: Ratio X360 - PS3 1to1, XOne - PS4 1to3 (just under 200 exclusive content, to just over 600 exclusive content), if you now XSeries - PS5 maybe 1to6. But those numbers are only console exclusives now, because after Xbox 2016, PS is now bringing all their games (except a few older titles like Bladborne) to PC (even Nintendo, see Lego Horizon). Sega had always released a lot of exclusive titles for PS, then they said they were going multiplatform and had the biggest successes (with Persona around 20 million sales), they confirmed the multiplatform strategy. Rockstar with GTA, previously console-only, only recently confirmed the multiplatform strategy. Square Enix has just said that they will no longer enter into exclusive deals (i.e. with PS where they offered a lot of exclusives), a new partnership with Xbox and they confirm the new multiplatform strategy. MS Xbox is talking about offering all their games to as many players as possible, up to almost all or all games for PS/Nintendo as well. The PS CEO has just confirmed that they want to go more multiplatform and release more for PC, whether they will stop there (see Madden, Lego Horizon ec). The industry is changing, as with physical sales, every year there are more digital and less physical purchases. Some games only offer digital or limited (Stalker 2, Age of Empire 2/4, Hi Fi Rush, Grounded, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, Baldurs Gate 3, Alen Wake 2, many indie titles etc), PS with over 70% digital purchases and the first digital-only console on sale (PS5 Pro, PS5 still had both models on offer), Xbox with the Series S also purely digital for the first time, Xbox with 80% digital purchases, PC with +99% as almost nothing is produced on disc anymore and even Nintendo with now 50% digital purchases. The future will be exciting, but everyone can see which direction it's going in, multiplatform and digital, then most likely cloud and streaming 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nintendo has always focused on gameplay over graphics and this makes their games cheaper to make and they can get away with exclusive titles. Sony and MS are making games that have state of the art graphics, sound effects and production quality. These games cost millions if dollars to produce and it is just not possible to make money by selling them on a single platform.

Phil said they'll never put games on Playstation that might hurt the Xbox brand. Even Satya has echoed that sentiment, and I believe Halo, Forza, or Gears will never be on the Playstation. Some games will be exclusive, as we seen with Starfield. CoD used to fund Playstation exclusives by itself. Now that Xbox owns ABK, and once the money starts rolling in, they'll have the ability to pick and choose what goes over to Playstation and the Switch 2.

The Square Enix going multi-plat narrative lacks so much context. With them in regards to Final Fantasy, it was ALL good until it wasn't. To put it bluntly, Final Fantasy is like the prostitute that decided she no longer needs a pimp. Back in the day, Sega turned it down to push their own RPGs, so that went to Nintendo. Once again, it was all good until it wasnt. They left Nintendo because they felt cartridges would bottleneck development, so they went to Playstation. They saw how PS2 became the greatest selling console and rested there. Square was where they WANTED to be, with Playstation. The misinformed call it money hatting, but honestly Playstation was just "paying the toll".

PlayStation are once again following Xbox with from Broadband only and a game service now PlayStation is putting PC games on PC like Xbox did which means more PlayStation games are coming to Xbox in the future and like Xbox it will be select games probably 3rd party the bad news is PlayStation has no new games coming soon that I want to play.

its shit when we know nintendo aren't gonna change so their games will be exclusive and we know with sony they dont want to put games on xbox the best they will do is pc to make up numbers while xbox is saying games are going everywhere but dont worry we have a handheld and next gen console on the way....but whats the point us buying it we might as well buy the sony handheld and play sony games aswell as xbox games :S. all games on all platforms and let us choose where we play thats the best scenario but it can't be one platform ports everything and the others dont.

Since I’ve given up on consoles and now pc 100%. Coudnt give a crap which game goes to who. I rarely use gamepass now even though I stupidly stacked it to August 2026. I but them on steam for few £. Steam sales!! Plus I don’t know how to mod Xbox versions of these games. Steam and gog games easily modded. Love mods.

Xbox loses if xbox games go to PlayStation but no PlayStation games go on Xbox console. PC doesn't matter in the console wars, so it's not a win if PS games go on PC. It's only a win if we get the games on Xbox console.
