One advantage of the Brevier Clarendon over the Concord (if you will write in the Bible you pick) is that it contains less words per page than the Concord. They roughly have the same margin space available, but with less words per page (i.e. less verses per page) the Allan allows you to take more notes per verse on average.

Greetings my brother. Thanks again for another professional Bible review. I have had both Cambridge and Allan. I have kept the Allan because of the yap. More protection from water damage or coffee spills. I don't worry too much about the gilding, but I am somewhat meticulous with my Bibles. I do not keep them in boxes, but I use them. Wide margins are especially designed for writing in them. When we get out of this financial hole that we are in, I am going to start sending out many of these Bibles. We need help, but I ask for your prayers. Thanks again for your excellent reviews.

Cambridge looks bigger than a Allen the font. Love you Cambridge Dictionary beautiful in the RED letter ferocious very well done

While I would like the heavier paper in the newer edition and as far as viewing on my phone goes the print looks more bold on the Allan, I will most likely be going with the Cambridge because I already have a regular sized Concord.

The Concord - NOT the personal size - says 8/9 typeset, in other words 8 point type, not 9. The leading is 9, but the type is 8 pt, but bc of the spacing, can read as a 9. Am I interpreting "typeset 8/9" correctly???

Thanks Jesus! I find the Concord easier to read because it doesn't have cross-reference and footnote keys in the text. However, both are small and I don't think either of them would be ideal for eyes that strain to read small print. The Canterbury would be a better choice because of the larger print. Another good option would be the Hendrickson Large Print Wide Margin. It has amazing paper, but the cover is low quality (imitation or hardcover). You can get it for around $15.

Being somewhat of a bible geek I'll get the Cambridge first, then save up again for the Allan cause i already have the Schuyler wide margin ':) ... But for best reading i never thought of the Hendrickson for less than 10% of the price of the Cambridge!!! That's why your the best Randy :)

I prefer the Concord. It has a cleaner text since it doesn't include callers to the references and footnotes. It also has more space within the text.

What type of paper are the maps? Card stock style or is it the same paper as the rest of the Bible?

I bot the CONCORD wide margin BECAUSE it was available in calf split. I would NOT have bot it in Goatskin Too floppy for this size of bible.
