MY MEDICAL ISSUES. I have POTS Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, a condition that affects the autonomic nervous system (including my heart) and causes me to faint among other symptoms. It comes from EDS Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Among other medical issues. I do have PTSD as well from childhood sexual assault that lasted over 10 years. But my fainting is related to my POTS and I can faint anytime, anywhere that I have been standing or walking too long. Basically my heart doesn't pump my blood right and it pools in my legs and I pass out.

I agree but also he could've at the time explained it better on what Max does for her that helps her during her anxiety attacks or when she passes out. Also I got upset more on the fact he didn't try harder to get Max to her, glad that she now has a better husband.

I have severe PTSD and separating a SD and handler who has PTSD is absolutely NOT OK. That defeats the whole purpose of a SD. A SD is to also prevent a PTSD episode. IDK if she does or not have a patch that says to NOT/NEVER SEPARATE THE SERVICE DOG AND HANDLER, if not, probably be a good idea to get some.
@BethRiffe25

Oh I got upset by that too especially when the EMT said no I'm completely for service dogs I mean my brother has one it's just you know right now there's just a lot going on and she seems to be doing okay but you know she goes through an attack I'll definitely come and get you. Like woman do you not understand he is there to prevent attacks and to calm her down so she doesn't go into one. You don't wait until she's having a panic attack to bring her her service animal...smdh that def could have been handled better.

I can't believe the difference in the comments in her videos. When she is shopping people think she is stuck up when she asks people not to talk or distract Max. And now people see why you can't distract a service dog! They are working. You wouldn't distract a paramedic who is saving someone's life. So why would you distract a dog that is protect someone.

Someone actually did that to me when I had my first ever asthma attack. It was a teacher as well. My best friend of the time snapped at her saying. ‘ Yes yes she does don’t you realise that she could die she needs an ambulance’ she got a detention that day for saving my life and the school got sued from her parents and mine. I ended up with two weeks in hospital and sofa bound for a week as I was unstable on my feet.

PLEASE watch 29:08 - 29:41 I really believe you were having a partial or absence seizure there. Show it to a neurologist if possible! If you’re just spacing out, it’s usually only for a couple seconds, but with absence seizures, you kind of pick up where you left off exactly like you did- and that was a common amount of time for one to last. I’m not trying to scare you, I’m not a doctor, I just care, and I’ve seen these before. I think it’s criminal some idiot distracted Max and this happened to you. Wishing you the absolute best, from a fellow chronic illness fighter.

I have a friend who passed out and hit her head taking out her garbage. Her neighbor saw her lying there and called an ambulance. They had her in the ER for 12 hrs and sent her home. She woke up the next morning with the worst headache she ever had. She had a friend take her back to the ER and they found she had Post Concussion Syndrome. Now she will have headaches anywhere from 3 months to a year because it was missed. Please take extra steps to take care yourself. This is not anything to mess with. These headaches come out of no where.

That’s not accurate. Post Concussive Syndrome is a long term result from the short term damage done to the brain. Sadly the ER can not do anything to reverse this or prevent this from occurring. I’m a RN and had PCS for over a year due to a severe concussion.

I once saw a service dog in public and this little kid that looked about 2 came up to it and started petting it and the parent didn't care, so I told the owner of the service dog that this 2 year old was petting her service dog. Then she got her dog back in focus and informed the parent about service dogs, but I feel like she would still not care if her kid came up to a service dog and started petting it again, so I'm afraid of someone getting hurt because of that.

@snufkingstan 6 жыл бұрын
its ok if there's a little kid wanting to pet a service dog (i did it by accident when i was 3 years old) because they don't know that it could bring harm and they learn from it (of course it's not completely ok, it's still bad, they just don't know that's all), but if it's an adult (like in most of your videos) that's just not ok.

For what's it's worth, I do believe that once your feeling up to it, you should have him charged. At the very least, he will probably only get a fine, but then you can contact the news in your area and bring awareness to the seriousness of a service dogs job. And maybe more people in your area will learn more. At the very least, maybe you can prevent this from happening to someone else and even save their life.

Kay 32 I’ve been having mini seizures too. Idk why still, but I had 3 diagnosed concussions a couple years ago (probably more because of my past abusive relationship) but I’m on epilepsy meds which are helping. It could also be because my body is just so fucked after my anorexia, despite me being recovered and at a healthy weight now. All my vitals are good but I’m still having these seizures. Idk man it’s how it be

People treat dogs like they're there for their own entertainment. It's like when they see one (even though their vests clearly say WORKING DOG) they HAVE to pet it. It happens too much, I can't go out in public without seeing this! There are disabilities that are invisible (POTS, T1D and more). Just because you can't see it doesn't mean they don't have it.

When I was a kid, I saw a service dog but girl scouts taught me to always ask before touching a dog so I did that and they said "no, he's working" and I was like "okay" and walked away. I was seven at the time. That means those people are less reasonable than a seven year old.

Thank you so much ❤❤ I have many more videos to come! All I want is for my channel and videos to help, to make a difference. If I can make a difference for just one person, then everything I've gone through has been worth it. If my life and experiences can help change someone else's for the better, I'm able to believe that things truly happen for reasons. Thank you for your comment. It's greatly appreciated. This is my journey, so welcome to my life. Lol. I hope it can help you and others in some way. I dont want to just be a person who goes through life and just makes it out okay. I want my life to mean more. Especially the struggles. So if I can take my life struggles and somehow that helps someone else, then I feel like I've made a difference. And like everything in life is for a reason no matter how hard. Hoping to make a difference and change someone's life for the better is part of what drives me to keep going, not to give up, and keep smiling. ❤

I understand her reasoning, but I still think she should have let the dog go to her. The other people in the hospital deserve confidentiality, however, not at the expense of her getting her medical equipment, aka Max (Obviously max is more than medical equipment, but that’s how they are viewed by law). The EMT said she was safe from fainting because she was laying down, but with mental illnesses you are never safe from them. So being in a hospital is anxiety inducing for everyone, especially people who are mentally ill. It could easily trigger her anxiety or PTSD and I think that the EMT was wrong for not letting the dog in, though she did have valid points, they still weren’t valid enough (does that make sense?)

So sorry this happened to you, keep up the videos it is good therapy for you. The information you provide has taught me so much about service dogs. I’ve been guilty myself of wanting to pet or talk to the dog but once I saw the “service dog” sign I did not approach it. Take care of yourself, I’ll keep watching. Good luck.

I was at Disney Land and there was a service dog and this lady was like "hi doggy!" And I told her not to distract a service dog and my mom was like "honey, that's not necessary to say" and the person with the service dog was like "oh, no, she did. Thank you."

No one not even people in the medical field should ever stop a service dog from being with his owner and doing his job. Not just the dog doing his job but the fact that max helps her to calm down and relax. They are one unit...she breathes...max breathes .AWARENESS !!!!!
