Their first song in Spanish, *Narcisista*, was written in 2019 and released as a stand-alone single. It was a direct response to critics who accused them of being "malinchistas"-a term in Mexico for someone seen as a cultural traitor-for only singing in English up to that point.

The primo performance of this song is at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City. Pau is off the drums and dominating the stage. She got her latest drum coach to play the drums for this song. His name is Beto Ramos. Pau just prances around the stage like a boss.

Speaking of Martirio, as someone supposedly bilingual (I studied Spanish in College as a minor) I find the writing on that song particularly poetic in terms of how the words sound together. They chose words that sound absolutely fantastic to the ear as musical lyrics. In that regard I think it's their best song. It's like they wrote it to sound perfect and then made the words work rather than the other way around (though they do usually start with lyrics with 2 notable exceptions that started from the music).

They're not just good role models for young women, they are good role models for all of us, we should all strive to be at least a bit like the Villarreal Velez sisters. They themselves have shown us that young girls and women can have male role models (and vice versa), like the bands that inspired them, and that embraced them with open arms, like Metallica and Muse. If I remember it correctly, Dany once said in an interview that the gender of the people on stage doesn't matter, what matters is having fun, or something along those lines. True words spoken by a very intelligent, talented, and humble young human.

Paulina is on stage and really goes Off, as Beto Ramos (Pau's drum teacher) is on drums!!!! Narcisista is so full of attitude, rightfully so. This band was accused, by Mexican critics, of betraying their culture by writing and singing their songs in English. In every interview and many live performances, they are sure to let you know they are Mexican. They are true ambassadors to Mexico .
