My condensing boiler drains into the sump pit. The installer originally used a little piece of copper pipe to connect from the rubber drain outlet on the boiler to a piece of vinyl tubing, but the condensate ate all the way through the copper in about six weeks. I replaced it with a little piece of plastic pipe, and figured if the condensate can dissolve copper, it probably isn't doing my sump pump any good, so built a "U" of 3" PVC in the pit, with one leg an inch longer than the other, both sides filled to the top with marble chips. The condensate chews up the rocks on the inlet side, but by the time it gets all the way down and back up the other side it is completely neutralized; the rocks on the outlet side don't wear away at all.

That hose is not intended to be hung. During the summer, the attic heat will make it droop and kink. Over time that hose will also crack and then the homeowner will have a good amount of water damage because the material is not intended to stay in those temperatures. At least braided reinforced hose should be used. Best is PVC or copper. Do it once do it right.

"Of 6, no problem, if it droops too much, I'll fasten it with a nail gun." I've seen electricians do that. Or maybe carpenters doing the electricity, after doing the HVAC.

So you charged to replace the pump and that wasnt the problem so you followed the line, in which you shoukd have done first and found the real problem then charged to fix it too?
@jessepacheco60202 ай бұрын
He didn't say what he charged. This guy is honest and legit. These idiots in Denver don't know shit and will try to scam you.

In Florida you use that hose and a rat will eat right through it.
