It might really help to use a conditioner bar straight on your hair instead of trying to emulsify it on your palm. It has worked for me and being an absolute delight, makes detangling very easy!

Thanks for the Video Mich. I am currently using the re’equil murumuru conditioner and I absolutely agree with you when it comes to detangling. The only thing I noticed is that after my hair dries it is a little weighed down as I have thinner hair and the curl clumps lose their definition by the next day. I also agree with you completely on the earth rythum conditioner bar. I have tried it and it takes too long to emulsify as well as it makes my hair oily after.

Such a beautiful video! I have been looking to change my routine from Curl Up to other brands and this one video has given me so many options! I just wanted to ask one thing- Acc to the porosity video on your channel, I deduced myself to be a medium porosity type, but the Curl Up conditioner as you said suits High porosity more. I totally get what you're saying. It's just a good bet that people with higher porosity & tighter curl types will enjoy a heavy product more than a light product and vice versa. Product amounts also matter. That's a totally different variable to throw into the mix.

Wow that's so interesting. If you ask me which one i prefer, i really can't decide. Both don'ts have slip in the creamy traditional sense but they have this uncanny ability to get through fairy knots like magic. I've seen people complain about the slip of both products but it works ridiculously well on my hair. Theres no other way to explain it. The moms co conditioners are different. They're slightly thicker for sure. They have slip in the more traditional sense. They're able to get through big knots and tangles. Cannot tell you which i prefer. It's very difficult for me to choose.

I have 2b/c Low porosity hair so I use it as a leave-in but my mother who has high porosity hair loves it as a mask too. I’m using the banana variant right now but I’ve heard the macadamia and papaya variants are equally as good.

I use wow coconut and avocado oil conditioner when I don't use hair mask, it works okay, and is cg friendly. But idk it may not have a lot of slip it works fine for me though. I had it before I started cgm, but I think it makes my skin itchy sometimes but I haven't had allergic reactions to it, Im trying to use up the remaining I have though since it works fine and makes my hair shiny (but Im suspecting the moxie curl cream reduced shine of my hair a bit when it is on my hair although it does enhance my curl pattern). it doesn't have any protein, only oils. argan, almond, avocado, and coconut iirc. and PEG esters which are olive oil esters. But the wow skin science coconut milk shampoo I disliked it leaves hair greasy and doesn't even clean anything off of it. I don't remember enough about the conditioner coconut milk one I used it briefly before cgm

I agree i love earth rhythm products, but the conditioner bar is sadly a bummer, it does its job as a conditioner, but I always find it difficult to emulsify… on days when I’m not in hurry i can give it the 3-5 mins it needs to emulsify, but when I’m in a hurry this bar doesn’t just help..i reached out the brand multiple times to make us the conditioner available in a pump or tub form, but sadly they haven’t done anything for that, I ended up not buying it.. if you can talk to the brand to give up tub or pump version of the conditioner it’ll be great

Frizz is a complicated topic. It starts on washday with perfect technique and the right products that suit you best. Clarifying and chelating regularly. Adequate moisturization based on your curl type and porosity. Protein moisture balance. Frizz management also includes what you do after your wash day and how you take care of it during the week. It's not a short answer. It's everything out together

Did you happen to watch my review of the fmc leave in cream? I experienced the same. Maybe it's too light for you. Try the log method when using it. It's a protein leave in. It's advisable to use it only on protein washdays. I wouldn't use it regularly.

I tried Reequil murumuru conditioner, unfortunately it didn't worked on my hair, it made my hair frizzy after applying it and didn't hold curls more than 1st year. Currently I am using St. Botinica conditioner. I will again put my review after some while.

This happened to me once with the bella vita hair mask. As soon as it touched my hair, my hair started shedding. It does happen sometimes. :( Certain ingredients tend to trigger us.

Can I ask u a question pls....I have 2a/b wavy hair and I prepoo my hair once a week with coconut oil, I have been fix my curls moisture hair butter for 1 month now(I wash my hair twice every week)......I use the log method to style my hair(I saw your video on that too learn), I use the butter, then grapeseed oil and then giovanni hair foam....for now all my stylers are protein free since I'm scared of adding protein in my routine....after seeing this video I ordered requil murumuru conditioner...just wanted to ask does this give as much moisture as protein...most protein leave in conditioners I've tried lack in the moisture department....also do u think this will work suitably if I use as a post wash after prepoing with coconut oil, it won't give way too much of protein to my hair will it?....should I alternate between the fix my curl hair butter and requil conditioner....sorry for the long question, I'm just super confused...I don't want to do it wrong and have a bad hair day since it really messes with my confidence....I've been seeing so many of your videos now,you have literally helped so much!! You can try the murumuru conditioner. Don't use it with coconut oil. It has lots of moisture and a little bit of protein. It's quite thick and moisturising. Use it once every second washday and see what happens. If it doesn't work, reduce the frequency. Also my name is Michelle not Michella.

The requil conditioners are thick enough to use as deep conditioning products because they're thick enough on their own to give the hair added moisturization.

I also have one more question like when I was my hair after shampooing my scalp and water runs down my hair length and I have to apply conditioner I wring my hair length of the excess water but I can see almost milky water dripping out of it...so should I keep on like cleaning the length with water till the water does not seem milky and the conditioner product from last wash is all out or should I not cleanse it and apply conditioner again??

Keep washing your hair till the shampoo is completely washed off and the water runs clear. You're probably seeing milky water because you still have shampoo and old product on your hair. Hope this answers your question. :)

I'm not able to retain moisture with a conditioner alone. If i let my hair dry without styling, the result is a frizzy mess. I have to style and finish with an oil. I've arranged them all from lightest to heaviest. So maybe if you pick one amongst the latter ones, it might work out. Use whatever you have and finish with an oil. See what happens.

Hi Michelle, I am using curl up conditioner and it didn't give me much slip. I have used lot of quantity so that I will get small slip atleast (after squeezing excess water and towel drying). Does that means I have low porosity hair? I am not able to decide. I feel like curl up conditioner doesn't worked for me.

Slip is needed when detangling and happens when you use a conditioner on super wet hair. I don't think your concepts are clear. Please watch one of my wavy hair routine videos to see how I detangle my hair.

@@MichelleManuel Thanks for the reply. I have curly 3A/3B type hair. I apply leave in conditioner and gel on very wet hair only. But applying the conditioner on damp hair after shampoo. And leave it for 10 minutes so that hair will be soft in a small level. This what I did. I couldn't see any change in hair if I leave it for 2-3 minutes.

Buddy can you recommend something for low porosity straight hair that is light and will be suited for days I don't want to use heavy conditioner because it is extremely weighed down and too soft and mushy for consistently using the heavy conditioner after every wash. I'm actually confused between reequil babassu, Northwish, and garnier hair food and moms Co. Natural protein. Also, can you tell if northwish provides enough protein alone to suit for days when hair breaks before stretching to 30%(though not damaged anyway that it'd need a ton of protein to not break afterwards) without layering other leave in proteins?

If you have low porosity hair, you can choose amongst the beginning conditioners. (Since I've arranged them from lightest to heaviest) Or you can directly watch my video on products for low porosity hair.

Northwish leave in or Conditoner? Depending on the type of protein, it can lasts on the hair for weeks. Even if you wash it, some proteins tend to linger.

Yes. For low porosity hair it is always better to use a small protein. It will be perfect. When we talk about protein sensitivity, it mostly occurs from large proteins which are filming forming.

I am facing protein overload, as all of my products was protein heavy. I have tried Plum conditioner, but didn't liked it. There's always a mix of all 3 in the formulation. :(

St Botanica has many go ranges. The go curls one doesn't have silicones. Atleast the bottle I have doesn't have any silicones in the ingredient list. Either way I don't like the conditioner and wouldn't recommend it.

I have high density hair and recently I've started using Earth rhythm's murumuru shampoo bar with Re'equil conditioner and my hair feels soo dry and textureless ...same goes with Enliven conditioner....bdw I have 3a hair type... However before strting CG I wld use d Re'equil conditioner with dove shampoo or even dove conditioner with dove shampoo did great on my hair, they loved it and my hair wld feel soo healthy and d curls were amazingly defined. I wonder if I shld strt back d non CG routine n also it's been 2 months since I started with CG. It's disappointing to see my hair turn lifeless d more I take care of it.

Are you using a leave in conditioner and gel? Ie are you following a full routine? Have you considered that you might be on transition and need to clarify a couple of times before you get rid of the built up silicones? (Spoke about this in detail in my enliven review video) If none of this is valid and cg is just not working for you at all, switch to what your hair likes best.

@@MichelleManuel yes, I've started like a routine. I don't use a leave in but I do use kayos flaxseed gel... Also d 1st tym I used CG products my hair felt soo good but now with subsequent washes it feels more dry. My hair turns way more dryer than it had ever been that I feel like washing my hair after every 3rd day sometimes even on d 2nd day... Coz otherwise they just look horrible.

Same. My hair is now between medium and high. Don't overthink it. Just pick something in the middle. If it's too light, use more or mix and oil. If it's too heavy use very little. Even if you pick something thats not ideally suited to you, you can always do jugaad and make it work. 🤭

I get migraines during certain parts of the year. My triggers are sounds and fragrances. They seem to get triggered by very specific sounds and smells. Once my migraine sets in, the whole day is ruined. I have to sit in a dark room and rest till i get sleep. I don't know why they happen. They just do. If you're experiencing migraines, you should definitely speak to a doctor. It's a horrible thing to have to live with.

I bought st botanica Pro keratin conditioner and it really worked for me.. at first I was a bit confused with all those porosity density and ingredients stuff but your vdos prompted me to try it ❤️❤️ just after using it for the second time I am feeling that I finally found my Holy Grail curl product.. It gives me light hold when I use it as a leave in but when I pair it with wow Aloe Vera Gel my hair gets a medium hold which lasts a day 2-3😍😍
