I personally don’t do this BUT if it’s helpful to the front end-it may be helpful for a dog with funny front feet (toes out especially) to build up their chest and thereby straighten out their feet. We used to work horses while still in growth stages (but usually only after they’re a year old bc you don’t want to do anything too hard on them in the fast growing stage in those first 12 months bc it can cause joint damage and that’s not good) on backing uphill, slogging through sand, etc., bc once their chests were built up more it always pretty much fixed any splayed feet issue, unless it was from bad genetics or something then there’s only so much you can do. But these goofy gangly big a$$ dogs (Presas!!) seem to grow all weed-like for awhile and then they come into their own!

Your chains are high quality and heavy as all get out. They almost look like the chains that are used for sling-loading heavy items on a helicopter. (Not cheap) $ for $/ Dollar for Dollar, I don’t think this method can be beaten.

You’re good! They are rigging chains.

How do you protect yourself from aggressive dog ?
@getyouapresa6 ай бұрын
It all depends, is he on leash, off leash? Has a collar on, my dog, client dog. There’s no set one way. Every dog is different so you just have to know of to maneuver with aggressive dogs.

What did you anchor that chain with ? I tried this with my male and he ripped it out of the ground so many times I just gave up.

I used chains for same thing but to add a little more to it I put a spring on the chain at the base cause if they pull it tight it pulls back I use garage spring but you can use what ever

Is the chain mounted in the ground or free for them to drag around
@djkell787 ай бұрын
I've never really tied or chained my dogs up. I've always thought it breaks their spirit and makes them depressed if left on too long. But if it's a conditioning thing and you give them room to run around and you spend plenty of time with your dogs. Which it looks like you do then I don't see the harm in it.

Yes they dont live on them. Specially for conditioning!

Love the work that you do on this presea's, have you ever thought about expanding to other guardian breeds like the cane corso,Boerboel, and rottweiler just to name a few examples
@getyouapresa7 ай бұрын
Yes, but I must create consistent with my breeding program before I overload myself with other breeds. I definitely want to do it 😂

This is a great way to condition. I use this on the working side of Dogs also with chain, dragging around the yard Swimming dog, and putting a dog on the mill To get good muscle development and structure and to build a good working drive. I also like to keep my dogs a little on the thin side.
@getyouapresa7 ай бұрын
I agree and do the same things! Great job bro!!

It’s a cheap method using the chains but a good one. But a step up would be weighted vest with or without parachutes. It’s good resistance training and and you can keep it on longer and they’re free to move around but con is it’s more expensive
