Mr. Peter Robinson has a unique interviewing style that often makes you interested about the upcoming question more than the answer from the guest's in general.. Condoleezza Rice has a depth of wisdom beyond generic assumptions that have been publicly portrayed by the media, constantly pushing false narratives that become the societal norm which is such a disservice to truth and reality.. This was an amazing conversation..

Started when "A for effort." Became socially acceptable. Think what would happen to basketball games if coaches gave a point to their high school and college players every time the coach believed the player tried really hard.. The student players would graduate thinking they were high scorers and if they never played directly with people who earned every point would probably go to thier graves so deluded. Sports was integrated on talent because we can see who does what. Affirmative action for blacks and A for effort for the rest of us, very few can see the lie.

Peter/ Mdme Director (beloved Condi Rice). I was astounded at her responses to multiple questions from the 'Good Fellas' (Honorary Pisans) at Hoover that took a minute or two just to set up! Once again I am completely impressed with the scope and depth of her knowledge, wisdom and integrity and ability to communicate clearly difficult concepts to a working class guy like me. It is a great experience to be challenged and enlightened by her inquisitive mind and willingness to listen and consider all sides of an issue that might be a stretch to our own biases or dogma. I have commented that you Peter, are my favorite host/interviewer and the duo of you and the amazing Tom Sowell are my favorite duo. I'll have to turn favorite into the plural at Hoover as Dir Rice has become an equal in my mind to listening to Tom Sowell - the brilliant, erudite, master of brilliance in simplicity. Hopefully or as a suggestion: We could hear from Dir Rice on some regular basis perhaps, monthly or at her convenience? It's not just what's happening at Hoover which is important for sure, but her views on important issues both at home and abroad are enlightening and comforting, and her strong faith and faith in our beloved Constitution are both inspiring and strengthening the whole person as she mentioned about her own life. Good thoughts encourage good actions, even to good health practices. So thanks so much for this. I'm again humbled and encouraged. Will try and get some of my young friends here in MA to listen to this interview. All the best to you both and Hoover Instu.

Thank you for this refreshing discussion that a Canadian bumpkin like me can understand. It was so inspiring to hear ideas from people who strive for excellence, and are grateful good stewards of all their gifts. I want to go right out and straighten up and “pull up my socks!”The comments about being “perfect” caught my ear, as I recall Old and New Testament scripture saying “Be ye perfect, as I am perfect,” and “Be ye perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect,” which tells me if we are instructed that way by Yehovah and His Son we are to set our sights on perfection and that someday (in eternity?) it will be attained! Something tells me that loving caring for the poor (and other loving work dear to our Father in heaven’s heart) is akin to perfection. Blessed are those who have this kind of love.

This Australian loves Condie - she is so grounded and an eloquent intellectual without being theoretical but is very thoughtful and astute. I liked her 'politics of jealousy' explanation and meeting the 'social contract' and the nexus between hideous ccp practices and a real economy of worth in strong vital countries which honour and understand the mighty and key central relevance of History, especially Religion and/or Spirituality. Condie is so musical in her elegant and rigorous thinking that bespeaks the 'fine art' of her personal being and professional effort. As for Peter - he is such a dear man and a fine interviewer. THANK YOU HOOVER.

My bias is left-center but agree on the objective of equal opportunity vs outcome and that education is a significant factor in disproportionate upward mobility. However I believe there are other systemic issues we must face and address. Further, we will not progress with the divisiveness we are mired in as we disregard the views of others with opinions and ideals different than our own. This was an insightful and balanced interview and highlights the intricacies of our domestic and global challenges.

Thank-you Peter and Condoleeza-- very much. I received from Stanford my pre-med AB in Biology in 1959. But Stanford gave me much more-- it let me explore several options-- EE, Political Science, Economics, and most of all it's best course "Western Civ", the latter being a 15 unit major part of every Freshman year, and still the best course I ever took in any subject. Western Civ was lost at Stanford (and also at many other of our best U.S. institutions) about 10 years later, and I believe it continues to be a big loss for subsequent Stanford undergrads. I have long had hopes that the Hoover will take on a restoration of that course, using similar methods of studying its methods which were centered about readings in the "temporary building", lectures in Mem Aud, discussions in small groups on and off campus(Newman Club), and written Blue Book exams on large questions about western civilization, not centered around today's politically correct questions. It taught independent and truly diverse thinking. Today's interview gives me hope that Hoover and Condi can restore Western Civ as a basic part of a Stanford education. And hopefully also encouraging school choice for all Americans from grade school on.
