I am on my second bag of this type. I used the first one so hard it just started coming apart, it lasted 8 years. Now I have the OD Green bag and I love it. The bag has 1362 cubic inches of space over all. The waist belt and shoulder straps come off completely. There is also a pocket for up too a 70oz bladder. I have added the Condor 3 way deployment pack on the front for extra room. I have also attached canteen carriers to the side. All in all this is a great small pack.

Good review. I just got mine and was surprised at the small size but after 10 min. it became obvious how generous space really was. I tried it on with nothing in it and once the straps were adjusted walked around for a bit and it was quite comfortable. I started loading gear and clothing and it was still roomy. I carry my tarp with a ground sheet and pad below the pack and found that my straps would easily fit. At this time I am well satisfied. I need canteen and cup with pouch to the side.

Yes, you can. I intend on doing so. Just take your tarp, roll it up, a little bit of paracord and tie it around your tarp (or sleeping bag) and lace it through the MOLLE/ALICE on the bottom of the bag, and you're good-to-go! Take care, - Straight Forward Prepper

I think this will be more than adequate for what you're looking for. It is sleek, concealable and packs a punch in terms of the space it offers.

@Harmon Shine-Traeger, No. It's not waterproof. I use his bag as a Get Home Bag (and love it), but put everything inside in their own waterproof pouches, zip lock bags, etc.

Opal Preston Shirley, The size of the bag, at least at first, can be very deceiving. It seems small until you start loading a bunch of gear in it. Even after you do, it maintains its small profile, which is a huge plus. Let me know if you have any other thoughts! Matt

Perhaps. I would recommend possibly placing the laptop within items that could soften any potential blows it might take. I would personally recommend a tablet instead, especially a smaller one. This could protect a laptop, but you will definitely use a lot of the space for a laptop that you could otherwise be using for items that would be better suited to help you survive.

I assure you these are both the same. Just to be sure, I looked up the Condor pack on Amazon. They both have exactly the same amount of molle and other straps in the same locations. Thanks, Matt

its a great pack, nice vid. I have the larger one for my bugout and i use this compact bag for deer hunting believe it or not. i have it in OD green. Most hunting packs done have many compartments so this one fit the bill for those all day hunts.

This will be great for you! It's lightweight, very spacious and because it's so comfortable, you shouldn't have any issues lugging it around with you, even at 6'5". Take care, Matt

for a person below 5' 6" that would be massive. I did try on the 40L size ..its a blanket for the back so to speak..

I just got the condor compact assault pack 12/22/2013 although I haven't put anything in it all the straps would come lose or slip through the strap buckle under its own weight. Buying off amazon you could be paying up to 50 bucks for something that should be 15 shipped judging from just looking at it and simple tug and pull with nothing in it the buckles could slip. I like it for what I need it for but the straps just blows the zippers are buttery smooth but the buckles are garbage

Hey, There was so much room in the bag, I honestly ran out of water bottles! Roughly, I would have been able to fit 20+ in that larger compartment. Overall, my guess is that I would have been able to put 75-80 bottles in the bag altogether. This pack is incredibly roomy while maintaining it's low profile. Hope that helps, - Matt

Pretty good review, except that I have to agree with BeckAdventures. If you go to Condor Outdoor's site, you will see key differences in the back panel mesh, the molle rows, D rings, buckles, etc. I have 5 of these as "Get Home" backs, range bags, etc., and bang for the buck, the genuine article packs are worth it. Beware of counterfeits.

This is Not a Condor pack, you can tell by the MOLLE on the font two smaller pockets. The size is still the same. This pack being displayed is Explorer or another brand.

I am trying to find out how big the volume is of this bag. Normally it is indicated with liters, but with this pack it is all of a sudden indicated with cubic inches. Either we use liters or cubic inches, but in order to be able to compare let's just use one system.
@QuietBuck10 жыл бұрын
Google will convert it for you. Just type in "1342 cubic inch to liters". The conversion page will appear. It is a 22L pack.
@taylorw38018 жыл бұрын
I had the same problem and I'm a math guy so I always used (liter capacity) = (inches cubed) / (61.024) and then if I needed to convert it back to cubic inches I just invert it on both sides and solve for cubic inches based off the information i already know. No idea if that helps but it's how i do quick calculations when shopping for any bag or anything that I need a specific or minimum capacity size for. I prefer liters but most places in america don't list them by liters so I used this easy little formula frequently.

Have you compared the Condor Compact Assault Pack to the Maxpedition Falcon-II? www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/Falcon-II-Backpack-3p110.htm The Condor is certainly cheaper, but how does it differ? Of course you can find both for less than MSRP. Also, you might try using Condor's site for measurements ... or even a ruler. Inches and cm are a little more standardized than "arms" and "flashlights". 0.5L water bottles are the only thing approaching useful. From www.condoroutdoor.com/Condor-126.aspx - Main compartment: 18" x 10" x 5" with one zipper and one mesh pocket. - 2nd compartment 15" x 8" x 2" - Front top compartment: 4" x 7" x 2.5" - Front bottom compartment: 10" x 8" x 2.5" Total: Volume 18" x 10" x 10" 1362 in³

I noticed that too, I have had other explorer bags before that I didn't like. At first glance they seemed solid but I loaded it up and lugged it around and it started coming apart, it wouldn't withstand being ran through the washer either ( I know you're not supposed to put them in a washer it's hand wash only, but I always do and explorer are the only ones that have fallen apart from the washer) I do air dry though. I hope explorer has gotten better since when I bought one. Condor stuff I have ran many times through the washer once it got covered in dirt or mud and they never once came apart on me, yet.

Great video, and thank you. BUT you repeat way to much, this video could have been 5-8 minutes easily. You keep saying "time is only permitting me to do so much cause i want to be strait forward" and then you procede to waist time by repeating and not being strait forward. (this is just some constructive criticism, I still gave it a thumbs up.)
