The Condor Cyclone is great plate carrier! For about 2 years I've worn it on the range, and for PT In the gym and on runs; it's held up great! Most importantly it has never let me down overseas! Awesome job on the review!

One of the best videos I have seen on a plate carrier. Thank you for being so in depth and focused. Well done

condor makes great plate carriers, I have an early version of this plate carrier and I have hiked probably a little under 2k miles, and have done near all shooting schools and drills while wearing it. I do not train on a clean range, I train in natural high desert, I am not easy on my equipment. I have been dragged in it, scrapped it against rocks and walls, crawled. Holds up. AND also to add to it, Ive had solid steel plates with no coating on them which puts alot more stress on a plate carrier. Ive had my plate carrier for 5 years now.

Recently bought this carrier from clickarmory and am happy with it. It holds my AR500 armor plates in well and the fit is great. It does what its supposed to do, hold armor plates while keeping a small profile. Also took me a few min to figure out the shouder straps but they roll in with velcro.

Great quick review, a friend uses one and I liked it when I used it a few times. This plate carrier is comfy compact, good deal
@BORDEN8 жыл бұрын
Solid Video, we actually use these Cyclone Plate carriers during action shoots and training events, it's a superb option for a lightweight and feature-full carrier - very well build and compact - that won't break the bank and will last a long time. There are many, many compact plate carriers on the market, and it usually comes down to personal choice and the purpose the operator will be using it for.

Just bought it in MC Black. Super excited especially since it's nearly impossible to find decent inexpensive carriers.

Regarding the side plate pockets. RMS 1" thick hardplates and AR500 Hybrid IIIA 1/4" would not fit. The cummerbund is exactly 6" tall and does not allow for plates or soft armor greater than the thickness of paper. I"ll remedy it by attaching side plate carrier pouches to the Molle II straps.
@iamcondescending2 жыл бұрын
There are mag pouch inserts you can get that slide into the admin pocket on front.

What does it take to get a plate and carrier set? I heard that I varies from province to province like Alberta and B.C you only need to have a PAL to get one or at least to be exempt from the body armor control act?

Would you be able to fit a Water Bladder on the inside of this somewhere? or would have to get a sperate pack for that?
@ATG31926 жыл бұрын
King Azaz for just about any plate carrier, you'd have to get a hydration carrier to fit a bladder on the pack panel. The only pc I can think of with a pocket for a bladder built into the design is the Banshee Elite pc by Shellback Tactical.

No point in wearing a plate carrier at a range unless your military or police doing training on your off time.

To all my fellow Canadians out there : Does anybody know a place where you can buy Steel Armor plates (REASONABLY PRICED!) here in Canada or that ships to Canada ? I wanted to get my hands on some AR500 plates, I'd pay around $300 US for all 4 plates but no ouside US shipping...prices in Calgary stores far exceed $500 CAD for a single III+ plate, which in my opinion is rediculous for simple steel plate. Any help is appreciated, thanks

It depends on budget and usage. I'm a larper that shoots in gear, but I also play airsoft in a PC so it'd probably work well in my use case. If you're CAG, stacking bodies every other day, you're probably better off with crye. I liked my old mopc but I traded it for a 6094 when I got the chance

It will hold up to 10.25 x 13.25 inch plates front and back, 6 x 6 inch side plates for sure, possibly 6 x 8 inch if the side plate pockets are like that of the MOPC.

@124moviesiwatch7 жыл бұрын
If you are asking me I am sorry, but as I live in the U.S.A. do not have an answer for you to that question. I purchased my plates from AR500, but believe they do not ship plates outside of the U.S.A.. Surely there must be a supplier in Canada, look around the web. Good luck.

I've got a Grey Ghost Minimalist PC which was around $90 (with discount). Lets just say Im still really happy. Im sorry, but this review sounds like "This is great!!! Made in USA!!, needed some adjustment, a little too many things on it, and you almost broke your foot, and if it was a ceramic plate, that shit would have broke. Last point, you said you used the GGPC and you didn't have an issue. Point on Quality: Both manufacturers are using the same types of cloth, buckles, and similar stiching, and regardless of country, they are being made on nearly the same sewing machines (ive seen Juki high end models mainly). The difference is going to be in the design. These one-size fits all , do-everything carriers really end up getting hot, bulky, not attractive looking,
@CanFirearmsReview8 жыл бұрын
+Josh Myers I too own the GGG minimalist PC, and they definitely seem to be made with different materials. But not everyone likes the minimalist plate carrier, you opinion is just that, Your opinion. This is just my opinion on the plate carrier. You can't really compare the two, they are different pieces of kit for different "missions". I too am very happy with my GGG plate carrier, in fact I think its the best value as far as minimalist systems go. But it certainly lacks in the real estate department, and the ability to use side plates.

We are alive, but busy like you guessed. The way KZbin treats their creators is disappointing as well. They don't pay out to anything controversial, but still have adds for controversial companies who pay. Left a bad taste in our mouthes.
