Great video. This is my first vest plate carrier. After watching this I was up and running in under a half an hour. I am 5'3 120 lbs and this vest fit great for a smaller person.

I run the condor gunner and I love the damn thing run lvl3+ plates, gas mask pouch, ifak, 3 AK kangaroo mag pouchs camel pack, radio pouch things a beast love it

Had this platecarrier, it is pretty good except for the cumberbund. I had it perfectly adjusted for my size, was tight on my body. But whenever I put some weight on the cumberbund (2x double M4 magazine pouch, radio, etc.) it would start sagging and flopping around. No place for side armour either.

I deleted the elastic bands on cumber bun.... and installed quick release taps on cumber bun... after the mods this Thing is a beast the units weakest link is the elastic stuff on cumber bun

I recommend the condor vanquish plate carriers instead of this. I got this one and the only issues I have is it sits too low, I have seen a lot of similar comments and it also isn't placard compatible.

Main difference Cyclone is made in the US. Gunner has a quick release pull tab. The Cyclone accepts soft armor in the cummerbund.

+michael stelljes it has molle on the side band so you could add side plate pouches, but as it comes there are no pockets for side plates. I think this works a lot better because people that dont want side plates get thinner "low-drag" sides

No..please don't listen to what these people are saying. Condor tries to market these things to people as legit gear, but as someone who has owned a lot of their stuff, and now owns thousands in proper legit gear, I can tell you Condor's quality is in NO WAY comparable to a real tactical nylon gear company. I have seen straight up airsoft companies produce better stuff. All their stitching is terrible with frayed ends and uneven stitching, no bar tacks, no reinforced areas where it should be reinforced. One of their worst things is their MOLLE/PALS webbing. It's so out of spec its sometimes impossible to weave pouches on the MOLLe properly. One molle section will be 1 inch, the next .75 inches, then the next 1.5 inches. It's crazy! This is not a company you want to trust with your life. Sorry. For airsoft .. Yeah why not. The only thing I have seen them make that was even close to decent or worth using at all was a couple medical pouches. There's a great article showing this somewhere.

A good rule of thumb is that if a plate carrier without plates is under 200 dollars it is not mil-spec. Military grade plate carriers are what you want, unless it is for just shooting at the range or airsoft.

Ive used my mopc from condor for over 5 years on duty and training with ar500 plates... All stitching is still good and never had any malfunction in any scuffle or run. 100% real world use.. Some ppl are just gear snobs lol

This is a no-go. I just grabbed this from my AAFES as a last minute cost-effective substitute. Figured since it was actually being sold by our BX it should be a good product. Nope. I'm 6-1 / 190lbs and the shoulder straps still sit too high and bulky. Not to mention the over-engineered retention for these straps... I don't feel I could trust this with my life. If you're just some airsoft warrior wannabe it'll work. Guess I'm forking over a few hundred for a different brand.

If im 5'10" and ~180 with front and back plates, two ar mag pouches front right, two pistol mag pouches front left and an ifak left. Will it hold up? I also am not super confident in the quick release. Does it actually work well? I'm used to the usmc imtv where it loops around the bottom. Skeptical about an upward activated quick release.

Carlos Berrios I don’t know brother, the quick release is different. I’ve got 3 inches and 10lbs on you, found it to not fit me very well compared to the gear we’ve been issued in the past. Too loose and bulky. My goal was something inexpensive for a 3 day training class with civilian friends. Wound up grabbing a used Crye rig.

No .. Probably not. You would want some 1/4 AR500 plates . That would stop some rifle rounds also.

So, I bought my 1st carrier used and may have (admittedly in excitement didn't examine it enough). I'm not 100% sure I have an official Condor carrier or a chinese knockoff. Any feedback on what I'm seeing (on my carrier) would be greatly appreciated. (It came w/o plates but with a triple mag pouch and hydro backpack). The Carrier (OD green): -(big ???) Markings, mini loop tag inside (kinda where kidney is). the loop is black and says condor with a small logo. Beside it is a silk or smooth set of 'strips' in bright green. on one is 'made in china' (side a), 'D' (side b), and the other is '5000832' (side a), 'QC passed S07' (side b). This would give the appearance of a condor carrier, but I not seeing any markings elsewhere. I didn't know if there were or not. - (a big red flag):The molle webbing on front or bag doesn't appear to match the stitching on the mulicam one you go over. On the multicam one there is what appears to be maybe a second layer (with the multicam) over a base webbing? Big part is that there is a stitching that goes through the center of the webbing (on the length of it). Mine doesn't have that, and appears to be standard solid OD webbing (cordura or whatever the usual non-stretch material is). I'm not sure if this center stitch is just on the multicam or not. - (checks out): the front map pouch has the right button/clasp + loop (some condor carriers the loop is a sort of 'inverted V' and somewhat folded but this is just a straight loop that folds back directly over itself). - (checks out): under the back fold the adjustment straps for the shoulders appears correct. The big rings on it, the way it is secured when you're shortening the length, etc. - (checks out): the removable pads over shoulder for securing hydro tube, radio wires etc. the look appears correct, w/ 3x velcro loops coming off the sides and velco on top and bottom. - (not sure): the front/left shoulder strap section. It seems adjustable. it has the thin d-ring with narrow velcro piece permanently sewed to it that attaches to a small square of velcro with a 'X' stitched' in it. The d-ring/velcro tab can also be fitted underneath a thicker horizontal webbing (maybe 2") to be more secure. Whatever this attaches to seems to be a piece on the inside of the shoulder stap, but the top of this inside piece has velcro (soft side) on it for a reason idk. ODD THING: this whole thing is only on the left side. The right side's shoulder strap doesn't have this. on the right side the main shoulder strap does have the same section that looks like this adjustable strap would slide thru it, but I don't see it). The backpack: - similar small black tag on inside with 'condor' on it and the different material green ones: the number there is 5001117 and S03 (on the QC side). - It has 2x thin velcro straps for securing the hydro bladder. - 4x straps that allow it to be molle'd to the carrier etc. - (ODD): there is no hole for the hydration tube. There are two eyes that look like the usual ones in everything to allow drainage so dirt/water don't accumulate inside the pack, but only a zipper. Like you'd have to put the bladder in it and zipper it closed with tube thru the zipper and seemingly nothing preventing the zippers from opening up ??? The bladder: No idea if its the factory one with the pack, but its tubing is covered in OD green padding the bite valve end has a valve to close/open water flow, a button that does idk, a bite valve with a ball in center (maybe for anti-backflow or leaking when not used?) and a bite valve cover. Quite the rant, I know. but I figured if anybody here could verify it'd be a huge +1, so thanks.

Anyone thinking about buying this, dont. I did and I hated it and traded it for 3 pmags. Why? Because condors MOPC carrier is more modernized, more comfortable and more versitile. This hasnt recived a gen 2 update like their exo or their MOPC carriers have. Why? Because this isnt a big enough seller to warrent an update and it's not a big seller because it's kind of a miss. In fact this carrier has been out for over 6 years now and it their least reviewed carrier because it's a miss. I dont think Condor is actively producing these carriers anymore. If you want lightweight, the Sentry is a better alternative and the MOPC does everything the gunner does... but better. The gen 2 MOPC also gets rid of the ugly and uncomfortable shoulder straps the first gen carriers had and this one does have them.

TERRIBLE plate carrier. Maybe fine for Airsoft, but this thing is not going to work with real armor. Do yourself a favor and buy a real plate carrier from a respected US manufacturer. There are affordable options out there.
