Mr. Tanner just would like to thank you personally for your channel its content and what it has done to change my life . Back in 2008 I was a industrial painter and I loved my job , but on October 4th of 2008 everything changed when a load of metal elevator doors tipped over on me I tried to stop them but the weight was to much and it slammed over on me and I woke up on the ground in a pile of metal. I was in the hospital for a week . Well just over 10 years and 3 surgeries later I've gotten 12 fusions 2 bars 1 plate and about 40 screws in my neck down to in between my shoulder blades . I used to play sports and I was in martial arts but that all changed . I felt useless and I didn't know what to do , but in 2015 I found your channel and I got the " sickness " and started getting starter pocket knives .Then in October 2018 came and I got a little blade called JX5 The Vengeful One ! Then a miracle happened in December and SMKW found a cache of the last ever produced Jessica X's and I snapped up one for me and one for my brother , I felt like I won the lottery . I now am in the process of saving for JX4 Bushbat . I now get outside and have passion in my life once again . I don't know if I should thank you or ask you where I can get counciling cause this is getting serious , when I shop for knives I get sweaty thats how bad I got it ! But seriously thanks for PM 101 and all your knives , in my life it really made a difference so Thank You.

Your review is spot on for this knife. I bought one in December and had to regrind the blade to thin out the edge . My sheath was also stiff and felt dry, so I treated it with mink oil and it came out great. After those tweaks I'm really happy with this knife .Cheers from snowy and cold Ontario ;)

Hats off to SMKW and yourself for showcasing this knife, I would glady accept the challenge of seeing what I could do with hand sharpening this blade. Yes it's been very rainy here in the Buckeye State, something like 20 days it hasnt rained since Christmas.

Those convex are great for feather sticks. Once you learn to trust that they’ll never bite deep. Even under harder pressure. Downside. Not to good for carving or cross cuts when used on blades thicker than 1/8 inch. My personal choice is a high, shallow concave grind with a mild convex relief edge. Minimizes the surface area of the blade touching the wood while batoning . Reducing friction and stress. While maintaining a strong edge. Also increases the versatility in cutting rope, meat, etc. the choice of steel and heat treat will resolve any weakness issues with a concave grind.

Thanks for the review Chris...I am a subscriber of yours since the very beginning but never left a comment...I really appreciate what you do showing us all of those products. Condor is actually improving a lot their lineup, but they still have issues with convex grinds...I had an HD Kukri and sold it because it has a really bad convex on it. This knife looks amazing to me... really a beauty. Nice job Condor, keep listening to the customers and just sharpen those beauties a bit more!

I have actually been wanting this knife since I seen it come out. I have a work sharp with the blade grinder so I could fix it up no problem...
@survivalofthefittest4095 жыл бұрын
Your channel is actually the first ive seen of that knife. I dont own a Condor, but that is actually one im actually pretty excited about! Its got *alot* of features i like, one being that pommel. I *hate* spike pommels, and *love* hammer pommels like that. The design overall i dig, but i would thin out the edge, i could see exactly what you were talking about, too thick/too steep, so i'd have to fix that out...but 1095 loves to be tweaked. Very cool GAW, count me in and thanks! As far as other Condor knives. I am kinda interested in seeing those "Terasour" knives up against some Mora's, sense they are obviously very similar, and seeing what is the better option (within objective standards). Anywho, good stuff man.

I went to get a Plan A last year,THANKFULLY dealer said batch was bad quality control and refunded my money. I waited a year to a few weeks ago,then went to same place. Sheath,handle,knife I love only was not polished nice having streaks and shadows all over it..$135 is not bad for such a knife because I do love it,but I take care of my knives and even sharpen properly,I like a nice new polished blade to be proud of.Was scratches on bevelled line where a dumb dumb scrapped,shadows all down grind line..Sloppy crap.. I can say one thing,will surely use and abuse this knife and not be afraid to mark it up,BECAUSE ALREADY IS....Do love the knife,if I got one like they send the reviewers. Their mistake,will never buy another Condor.
