imagine over the "flowerpots" you lay a plasticwrap. Then you do concrete/ tile and everything like shown in the video. After what you remove the flowerpots again and use it for the next project

Hello its a very good way making roof and your videos are very detailed about it. i learned a lot form it and i'm also trying to make similar roof but i'm have a problem in calculating the number of guna tile in a single row. can you help me with that. Thank you.
@semmanstudio346611 ай бұрын
Thank you for your appreciation. For every 2.5" or 3" of the circumference of your arch needs a cone tile. It's not accurate because it is hand made.

How does the shape is retained after the steel support members are romoved?
@semmanstudio34666 ай бұрын
Those steel are just profiles to retain the shape with the help of strings passing over them, they are not carrying any load in the first place. The cones are just simply supporting themself through the concept of vault from the moment each row is completed.

Truly amazing. Very impressive work. What is the approximate time & cost reduction compared to a similar sized flat RCC roof ?
@semmanstudio34664 жыл бұрын
Since it is not widely practiced the cost is as equal to RCC, when we do it regularly we can figure out the way to do it cost effectively.

Why cones were used when it has to be covered with plane concrete???? Simple tiles would have done the purpose??????

Though it is covered in the exterior, internally it is visible and looks good

Semman studios 👏👏👏👏👏. Nice to see the work. Can u tell the benefits?
@semmanstudio34664 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the appreciation, the benefits are less steel is used for the roof which reduces the carbon footprint, avoiding usage of high thermal mass materials like concrete with aggregate will provide thermal comfort. Most importantly the pattern at inner surface is very beautiful and unique.

Aesthetically wonderful and charming...from a carbon footprint perspective these are not ecologically viable because of the amount of modern concretes/cement that goes into their design...WHICH IS...not natural and from one of the worst polluting industries in the world!!! Further, when these fail (not if) in a major seismic event the outcomes are catastrophic failure and loss...even made worse if the structure is occupied at the time of the event... So, again, it is beautiful but not something to be done on a grand scale or encouraged from an ecological perspective in means, method, and material application if the goal is natural and sustainable architecture...
