In november 2024 the South American Bivalve Conservation Network, BIVALCONS, launched a series of talks on freshwater bivalves aimed at fostering knowledge exchange between Global North and Global South researchers. The initiative sought to create a dialogue where researchers from the Global North share their expertise and techniques, enhancing research and conservation efforts for freshwater bivalves.
