My big regret is not knowing the culture or how filipinna women truly are. I almost lost her due to not knowing the full depth and scope of their personality. Being sweet is something most westerners arent used to and often make us suspicious and push back. Fixed it and things are great now.

Very candid, awesome video. I wanted to comment so bad while watching the video about the exact point that Chrissy made, everything we’ve done in life , every single turn, every moment we’ve gone through is a steppingstone to where we are. One single thing done differently, and we wouldn’t be where we are today, I live with and accept all my decisions good and bad.😊

Yes for infections, flu's or viruses people run to the hospital and are admitted for protocol IV Saline, for what comes with fever dehydration ,most time its not necessary, a few bottle of Gatorade with antipyretic will due. An Antibacterial will be a good add on for such an infection rather then an antibiotic ...You right on with you advice, myself being here for 15 years. Very enjoyable video ....

I met my Filipina wife in 1992 in NZ. We began a relationship in 1993 and have been together and married ever since. My first trip to the Phillipines wasn't until 2007. I regret not having come as soon as we got together. I feel like we missed out on the Phillipines while we were still very young. We've been making the most of it since 2007 though!!

Yes airconditioning is really bad like you said as the hotels never clean the vents out, I was unaware of this myself while in Thailand when I rented a condo out , after getting sick I had the place deep cleaned in all the aircon vents you need to deep clean airconditioning vents out with a skilled technician that knows what he's doing and have it done often if you use the aircon all the time maybe 4 times or at least 3 times a year.

I’ve been to SE Asia 3 times in the last year and 1/2. Each time I’ve gotten the illness you described. The first visit was Manila, second was Dumaguete, third was Bali. It really sucks to be sick 1/2 of each of your vacations. My poor Filipina had to go get medicine multiple times at the pharmacy for me. She was a perfect nurse. Maybe it shows me how she would be as I grow older. I’m 64 and she’s 35.

I agree with Chrissy, to me I like knowing a person before falling in love. Yes, I am attracted to a beautiful Filipina, and yes, I have been talking to a Filipina for 8 months. Physically she is very attractive, and I have to accept that, because a lot of sexpats do ogle her and approach her, but I am lucky because I have known her for 8 months, and to me the beauty is who she is, the real reason I fell in love with her, not what she is. I love this girl, and she loves me.

if you are going to retire in a different country then the one you wher born in why would you still be looking for a western life style. this to me is a oxymoron to find a western life style in a different country. if you really looking for a western life style then just stay in yoru own country for you will not be happy.

" Never date a bar girl." I keep hearing this. You hear this over here too. There must be plenty of Philippine women who go into bars for the live music, dancing, and socializing. I'm sorry, but I just can't see myself trying to make a move on some woman in a mall. To me, it seems more creepy than the bar scene. 😐

Chuck, here in Asia and many other places in the world. The term bar girl is synonymous with a working girl someone who exchanges sex for money.

This commonality of Filipinas being embarrassed, they just have a problem with pride, get over yourselves and stop taking your image so seriously. Filipinas insecurities make them far too worried about what others think of them, they just need to relax and feel good about themselves simply because they are a good person, not based on others opinions, & stop worrying about it
