chapter 4 was really funny, I think Gopher hit the nail on the head when it just felt so seamless and flowed almost perfectly. Chapter 2 I think is my favorite though, just because I love Leonard's constant disappointment with the state of the brotherhood. That and I found Gopher's unique build for Leonard really made the assassinations pop

Related to the 'poisons' tweaking you made: I remember seeing a comment from you that, at one point, you had to basically 'nerf' Inigo's damage twice. It would be interesting to have a 'final' part to this series where you go through how such tweaks are done for the LP's sake. Alternatively it could probably end up as a standalone video(s?); giving a prime example for why you'd want to do such a thing, and stepping a new tweaker through the process.

The camp CTD is the perfect example of typical Skyrim vanilla bug, haha. Civil War especially is notorious for many game-halting bugs. Glad you got to find a solution around it! I'm having a similar issue with Halted Stream Camp. If I fast travel or enter from the right, I crash. If I go to the left, however, no issue!

that's why i always do the civil war last if i ever do it at all. It more often than not will break *something* sometimes you just have naked guards for awhile and sometimes you cant finish the main quest

about the crashes, i had such problems too, random areas would make me CTD, however, just going inside a building, wait and let a few days pass would reset the cell and i would be able to enter it without crashing. had it happen to me both in FO4 and Skyrim. but still weird, and i have NO idea what caused the crashes.

As an old gamer gal hijacking her hubbie's youtube - I've abandoned TV for Gopher's Leonard. I found Gopher while exploring FO4. Watched every character play. Then bought FONV because of Gopher's play. In fact, gamer channels are so much better than the woke-sters we get on tv these days. You mentioned a "piece of armor" possibly being a reason for the CTD at the camps. I wonder if it was Immersive Armors? Reika wears that decorative armor, from said mod, when she's at The Castle. But at the camps, she only uses the Vanilla Heavy Imperial Armor. Perhaps it was crashing because of the armor switch? Perhaps not. I'm not sure how that "switch" occurs. I'm not even curtain if there aren't two Lagat Reikas. As some NPCs have duplicates. Especially when it comes to the CW Quests. The officer you report to in Whiterun during that quest has one, for example.

That localized crashing thing has bugged the hell out of me! One spot for me was on the lake road just east of Lakeview Manor. If I'm traveling westbound it crashes every time, but it doesn't crash if I'm eastbound through the same area. The fast travel thing was my work around also.

On console, my game crashed at the camps a lot as well. That was xbox 360 I have mods now and play on console, still. And i had a probplem with a dialouge glitch where the Legate wouldnt engage dialouge with my character. I found out fast traveling worked

I had a similar issue approaching one of the Stormcloak camps during the civil war questline. Just assumed the save was bugged because nothing changed when I uninstalled my mods. Wish I had tried fast-travelling there instead of just abandoning the save :/ Oh well, the more you know I guess.

Last time I played through the Civil War questline, it was the most bug-ridden thing i'd ever had to deal with in my nodded Skyrim game which to that point had been almost flawless. I don't recall any CTD's, but so many quests would just hang, npc's refusing to follow scripted events, dialogue option not working, Civil War was a slog for me.

Gopher, have you ever considered doing stuff like non-canon mini Let's Plays of unusual or goofier scenarios? Like, for example, people mainly know you for playing Skyrim and Fallout games. So, it would be rather humorous to see you play an episode worth of Skyrim using the mod that ports over Fallout's Power Armor and guns into the game, as a stupidly-overpowered Fallout character both confused and on a massive power-trip over the new setting and just how effective his modern weaponry is over even the strongest of Skyrim's dragons. Or one of the less "lore-friendly" quest mods for either series, as a character convinced he's on some kind of insane hallucinogenic drug trip for the duration.

Only one problem with how you aborted the main quest. Unless you give Leonard *some way* to find out that the Greybeard Leader, Paarthurnax, _is actually the dragon he saw_ and not just some guy that is now dead because of said dragon, there is no feasible way for you to be able to rerail the train for that plotline.

That mod should be used on a brand new game. And the Legacy of the Dragonborn mod requires you to have ALL of your mods installed first, and then install the LoTD. Installing other mods ala carte afterwords will most likely bork your game

Rigmor won't make much sense if you have the vanilla content 80% done like Gopher has with Leonard, since the mod is designed so that you play through everything alongside Rigmor. That having been said, the idea of Leonard having to deal with a follower like Rigmor is hilarious. There are more than a few follower mods with romance quests it'd be interesting to see Leonard "leonard" his way through.

It probably would've been a pain to do it this way, and the way it turned out in the end was pretty good as it was, but honestly I feel like just having the Bend Will shout would not have been enough to make Leonard's power levels spike. I can't remember too well since I watch the series on and off, but at that point in the story Leonard felt like he was just starting to get his feet wet when it came to magic as you said, so suddenly receiving a power that was FAR outside his comfort zone, I don't believe he would've ever really used it even knowing what it was capable of. "What if it backfired!?" is a thought I imagine Leonard having at the idea of trying to use that shout, or any shout in general at that point. Accidentally shouting at the dragon only to have it not work would have been a hilarious, especially if there was a mod for that.

There technically IS - or WAS - a mod for that. It gave you the ability to actually *say* the Shout words into a microphone to activate them - either in Dovah or English. It was extremely finicky though, as anything related to voice recognition will be. Not to mention the memorization required to use it to full potential, and on its own could have become an effective limiter on their use (dependent on actual training for making the Shouts usable in-game). Even the one person I've actually seen try it on a LP, gave up and removed it fairly quickly.

the problem isn't that Leonard would use bend will it's that in order to complete the Dragonborn DLC leonard would have to become comfortable using bend will since if he wasn't he'd a) have no motivation to finish the questline and b) wouldn't be able to finish it even if he did

Hm.. I wonder if those crashes are related to a problem I've had. Didn't keep track of locations it happened, but for me it was always on horse, or in beast form and sprinting. So once I loaded up again after a crash, I could usually get around by just going slow as I was passing into the area and it would be fine.

My guess would be that he's not updating until SKSE and a lot of the mods have been updated. I'm not sure it would actually be possible to just update the game and expect the Lenny save to still work.

A. No, Inigo is working just fine. We have had... two whole reports of people having problems, and only with the entire paid CC package installed (and many reports of no problems, even with all the CC installed). B. Lucien had a problem. Lucien was updated. Lucien no longer has a problem with AE. C. Gopher didn't update the Museum, what makes you think he would update the whole game, if it would threaten Leonard?

Gopher Was the CTD bug similar to the bug that killed the Stiv let's Play? That one was most definitely a vanilla bug. I was experiencing it at the same time Stiv did.

No. The Stiv bug was caused by Scenic Carriages, and unfortunately it was impossible to clean up as it was baken into the save. Luckily the bug I had with Leonard was temporary and only lasted as long as each camp was a quest hub. Once the quest moved on, the area became stable again.

I don’t think gopher responds to comments a ton, but I’ve finally got a pc and started modding fallout nv following his series. The manual reload mod causes me to not be able to reload my guns. Anyone know how to fix this because I love the mod

I don't recommend that mod any more. I think one of the other tweak mods has an option for it. I believe it's Stewies Tweaks. Check my recent Modding New Vegas guide. It was definately one of the mods I installed in that series.

One thing gameplay wise i have to disagree with, and granted this is because you do let's plays rather than just play for yourself so you've got the story aspect to consider and don't get much chance to play around with the gameplay aspect of, is Bend Will. Bend Will is actually a pretty damn useful shout, especially if you have Deadly Dragons installed. Because once you're level 60+ and you've completed the DLC, you're running around doing other stuff in skyrim, maybe doing some modded questlines (LOTD and its long walk of the looter are a perfect example) then suddenly you've got a dragon attacking, maybe even several of them if you have that option enabled, and all thats going through your head is "Oh my god, LEAVE ME ALONE, I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOUR CRAP". But then you remember, you've got bend will. And you just shout at the dragon, it calms down, flies in circles for a few minutes then goes off into the horizon. Its an amazing annoyance remover because lets be honest, unless you're playing a character that actively avoids dragons, you'll have more than enough souls and bones by the time you're past the 50ies in levels. Theres nothing useful they can give you, they're just an annoyance you have to spend another 15 minutes killing. The best way i can describe bend will is, it's the Skeleton Key of dragon shouts, its not something hugely awesome, but its pretty damn helpful
