@@travelstreatsandtreasures If you’re looking to try Barberton chicken, I’d recommend Hopocan Gardens. Another good spot is Fa-Ray’s Family Restaurant, they have lots of options and really good breakfast. They’ve also got Barberton style chicken, but instead of frying, they broast! Lexi is a great server, I’d ask for her if you have the chance! Edited to add: The Coffee Pot is a classic for Barberton breakfast as well. It’s a small place and they cook in front of you, old diner style(at least they used to, not 100% sure of the interior now)

I think this is my next holiday destinations sorted! Lol. What an incredible place. Somehow I just love the small little areas like this which have so much character and warmth to them. It doesn’t feel artificially built up but that everything is crafted in a way that have been done with love by the community if that makes sense x God Bless 😚✝️🙌

Hi, Barberton is my hometown! If you’re interested in giving the town a visit I highly recommend either in early spring for our cherry blossom season, or in December when all the Christmas lights are up at lake Anna. There aren’t really any big hotels in town, but you can find homes right in town on AirBNB

My old stomping grounds I grew up in Doylestown, Ohio, about 5 miles from Barberton and spent many hours with my cousins swimming in Lake Anna, or watching movies all afternoon Saturday at the Park theater. One of my first jobs was at the Ohio Brass company in Barberton. I need me some Barberton chicken!

I am actually from Barberton and will gladly answer any questions you have about this wonderful place! One of the best examples of old architecture mixed with newer businesses Is the M and M's Taphouse near Barberton's McDonalds. The building used to be an old bank back then. Now you can reserve the vault as a party room!

Just a clarification, that is not where the Goodyear blimp lives. It is 6 miles to the east an a little south of there. (on maps, follow 224 east to rt 43, look for Wingfoot Lake southwest of that intersection. The hanger is on teh south side of the lake.
@travelstreatsandtreasures2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing. I'm not really familiar with the area and it's been a while since I filmed the video but feel like I remember a sign that said "home of the Goodyear blimp" or something like that! I'll have to look closer at that building if I ever pass it again.

I'm a Californian who lived in Barberton for 3 years. Highest teen pregnancy rate in the country at the time. Everyone knows everyone in Barberton, which means everyone is in your business. In Barberton If you find a church, you will find a bar across the way... fact! Barberton is also known as Barbertucky. I worked at JR Engineering and at B & C Corp which was fun. I'm glad im back home in California. Goodbye Dumperton, OH
