I wish i had a mother like you. Mine is an extreme narcisisst and i never got any guidance from her. Im 28 years old now and mentally still behave like a 12 year old. I was praying God to send a role model so i can learn how to be a proper lady and I found you. Thank you so much. Your work is so much meaningful probably more than you think. I wish the same thing as you. I had a mother that was a narcissist and a sociopath. Mentally and physically abusive. She taught me nothing. Got other family members to think bad of me by lying about me. I know your pain. I'm 52 years old and over the years simple things I should have learned, I would be embarrassed when I didn't know what to do. God answered both of our prayers. He is such a good God! 💖 Hugs~

@@President47394 - Wow, it's like you are writing my life story! So much of our upbringing is the same. It's humiliating, but I did not even have a checking account until I was 21 - let alone know how to write a check or budget! I've been embarrassed many times because i didn't have a mom who cared to teach me anything.
@MagsChase12294 жыл бұрын
@@tracym1564 Please, don't worry you are still very young. I'm glad you did get a checking account. Just keep on trying, and let it be known, people seem so busy, they don't even notice if you make a mistake or can't do something. Be calm, ask a question if somebody is near by. Do NOT put yourself down. You really do not know how to do something because you have not tried it yet. Also, help others if they struggle, the Universe/God will send someone to help you. Everyday, try to learn a new thing....before you know it, you'll have a huge confidence in yourself. Blessings.

I really appreciate this. There is a saying in a recovery program-"What others think about you is none if your business". It took me a long time to believe and understand that. My most difficult relationship was my mother-in-law. She was just plain mean to me. I came to understand, it was never about me personally. It was her problem. When it's family and when it's your husband's mom(who he loves) makes it very difficult. At the end of her life, I was sitting on the floor next to her chair and she began to cry. I asked her what was wrong and what could I do to help. She told me she just felt so bad for me that my own mom had died too soon and it made her sad. That was the first time I felt loved by her and that she really did care. I am glad that happened before she died. Hurting people hurt people,

Tracy, I watch and rewatch your videos all the time. I pick up lots of pearls of wisdom all the time. This video has made a lot of sense to me. Lately, I have seen in myself that my priorities are all over the place and boundaries are a little tough for me. Saying no to work is very hard. Recently, I was scheduled off for a day at work. Less than one hour into my scheduled time off, I received notification that there was a serious issue going on at work. I went in to investigate to find it wasn't as serious as I thought it was. This is one of many times I have sacrificed what was important to me to put someone else needs first. I do it all. the. time. I always have. I agree it's an opportunity for coaching. But, I would venture a guess that I am not the only person who struggles with this. Could you do some more boundary setting videos? I know I would appreciate it and given this is a typically female issue, I am sure other viewers would also appreciate it. Many thanks for all you do!

Honestly, I was crying while watching this. As you've mentioned LET IT GO and I decided to let go of every negative things/comment I've heard because the more I cling to it the more it hurts. @@TracyHensel Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say based on your posts and profile that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my KZbin channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a KZbinr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I try to show confidence everyday so she has confidence.

Hi Margaret! I am glad! I think you are doing all necessary steps in showing your daughter how to be confident in her own skin .. just as she is. I especially think it is important to raise our girls to love their bodies. To recognize that they may not be perfect in all areas. But to be accepting of them. And to also recognize they have other areas that they will be pleased with. That comparing ourselves is counterproductive and a waste of time and LIFE!!! Bless you for working hard at this while your daughter is so young!!

I'm sure you had and you still have your difficult moments but you surely are organized and know how to manage your time. I have two daughters, my oldest is 23 my youngest is 4 years old. I am 46 so from my experience I can assure you is actually easier now than first time around . I feel so much more mature and able to handle things with care and patience compared to when I was younger. So hang in there, one step at the time, don't try to be the perfect mom and cherish your blessings. Your little one will bring you so much joy . The best thing you can do is to follow your instincts and as Tracy said don't let anyone that don't matter to get to your mind - bad mouthed and such.

I have let others take my confidence and your words brought tears to my eyes. I wish I had heard this, many years ago but I choose to believe it isnt too late. I'm starting from here! Thank you! You've tapped into a cultural need, a call, back to femininity and poise. God bless!

I am SO thankful for these videos, more than I can say. This was my morning focus time video and it absolutely set the tone for the week. Thank you SO SO much for taking the time to share and post. It is helping women like me, who didn’t have a mother figure to look up to to learn these things!

Thank you for being such a "mom" to us. I'm older than you are, but my mom never gave this sort of advice and I soak it in. Thank you! Hopefully I can pass your advice along to my family as you have.

Hi Tracy, I just found your channel and I wanted to say Im grateful for this video. I've been an orphan and did not have guidance. I struggle with the confidence. Esp in a work place or even in my grad program, when some are so mean. I know I can be a door mat so I speak up now but then some how they reverse it and talk bad of me because I spoke up....I actually deleted my fb bcz I got so sad and I dont like the "fakeness." I'll have to catch up on all the other videos. Thank you again.
