I just scrolled through all of the comments and didn't find any mention about the person I'm talking to at the very beginning of the video. That's Tim Walz. He's the Governor of Minnesota and Kamala Harris' running mate. If Harris wins the election, he will become the second-most powerful person in the United States and be in line to ascend to the presidency. Did anyone happen to notice ? Look at his t-shirt. This little video segment was taken in 2018. I included it because he's a very confident guy.

I have been learning English for long time. My knowledge goes up and down but I speak and write with confidence. I dont care if I make mistakes because English is not my native language.

Thanks a lot! I am sure that your lessons are extremely useful. Now I'm back to studying the Purple level - the hated phrasal verbs. And I am sure that I must overcome this barrier in order to speak English more confidently and understand native speakers.

It's important to consider that most people who speak English are pretty tolerant of mistakes. I make them all the time!

Hi teacher Paul thank you ever so much I really appreciate you.❤🎉 . Confident✅ confidence✅ confide❓you forgot you didn't explain the verb? confidently✅
@Learnamericanenglishonline

Well, the word "confide" imparts a meaning that is a little different from the meanings of the words in the video. "Confide" is a form of "confidential" and "confidentially," and in that group there is no noun form that I can think of at the moment. It's worth noting that there's a difference between the adjectives "confident" and "confidential" or the adverbs "confidently" and "confidentially." This is the sort of thing that advanced learners of English (in ESL) really have to pay attention to.
