What is the point of assigning a service phone number to call queue because your auto attendant is pointing to call queues? External users will eventually hit the call queues when they dial auto attendant number.

You are correct most clients just add a number to their auto attendant, but sometimes customers just have a call queue for all their inbound calls so they assign a number to the call queue

can we use the Auto Attendant without assign the number? which mean internal Teams users can make the call into the AT via the display name/username of AT

Yes, you can, you will need to assign a resource account so you can call it.

@@SwitchConnectau Thanks, but i don't know why i can not search/find the AT user in MS Teams (i assigned the license for the resource account of AutoAttend & CallQueue) :(. Could you advise please ?

Am I understanding correctly that the way to migrate Auto Attendant from Skype to Teams is to just have Microsoft do it for you?

You only did it for one person. Sadly it doesn't work for many users such as a sales team
