I wouldn't over egg the "he wanted to come back to City" angle-Barca are totally and iredeemably screwed financially -they've sold all the "future rights" they can get away with to American Hedge funds and are struggling with the financing of the new stadium-Gundo was on £300k pw and they needed to offload him.Having said that ,on a free he could have gone to any of the big clubs and personally i thought he might have gone to Bayern but a return to City makes perfect sense-hopefully he'll play this weekend-great to have him back.

Being a “bigger club” is more than just history and fan base, it’s recent history, how good the club is in the present, the ability to attract world class players and coaches City’s fan base is now huge and growing exponentially every single year, the only thing City don’t have over a lot of other “big” clubs is a decorated history, which we are now building in the present By your logic, you must also think Lyon, Marsille, PSV, Porto are also currently bigger clubs than City

When talking spending, why do you never take into account the 300 million being spent on stadium enhancement and the hotel ? is this money magic am i missing something ?

It's not something that affects player sales or signings. So it's often overlooked. And I believe our owners and partners are paying for everything themselves, so there's no real reason to mention it in terms of spending.

I doesn't make alot of sense but apparently infrastructure isn't put into the same category as salaries and transfer 🤷 Alot of clubs like Barca, Everton who are known for having huge financial issues just build 2 amazing stadiums. Id say if your owners can afford then go for it, but the facts are alot of clubs obtained massive debts building their new stadiums. Atleast we're debt free/our owner could pay for everything.
