cassia tora wild senna in west Africa The leaves of this shrubby legume can completely replace alfalfa in the ration of rabbits (30-40% of the ration). They contain 12 to 14% protein in relation to dry matter and 18 to 21% crude cellulose. WE have it everywhere for free in Burkina Faso but nobody use it.

If you serve a rabbit with both fresh and dry grass, which one will the rabbit focus on and why?

Let us reframe the question and I am sure the answer will come much easier 🤔 "If you serve a child both toffee and salad, which one will the child focus on and why?" The healthier alternative will be the last choice for sure. But importantly, give fresh leaves or whatever greens you choose in small quantities. The health and well-being of the animal is the ultimate desire of the farmer.
