That was the most to the point informative video I have watched. Exactly what I was looking for. I do have one question I am looking for opinions on. Does it make any sense to have a 5/2 offset on the front and 4/3 on the rear on a 64" 2022 DS. I want to of course increase stability, but mitigate degraded handling and increased wear to components. I figured having it wider in the back would help keep it from rolling. Plus my chocks on my trailer are already set up for a 68" wide KRX...which I am upgrading from. I already put a 64" DS I rented on it's side so I got that down...and trying not to repeat. Waiting on my DS to arrive in August 2022 hopefully. So looking for wheels soon!

Thanks for watching. If I had a DS X3 I would definitely go with the 4-3 offset to get it just a little wider than the 5-2. Only time we would recommend the 5-2 is really if the trailer size of the customers is an issue. Most all our wheel sales for a DS is the 4-3 offset. Beware when looking at wheels though some times they say 4-3 and when you get them they are really a 5-2. We have found that on some Raceline and Sedona wheels. Hope this helps.

Great information to provide knowledge to those who do not know offset and how its figured. However , I think it may be a good idea for those changing offset , let’s say a 4:3 on a RZr xp what you are you doing to the geometry of the machine going to a 4:3 and how that 100% greatly hits the negative on wheel scrub, geometry of the machine. Added bump steer. added stress to the components. People need to be educated on that when changing offsets and how that affects. The front end

Thanks for watching. Yeah a 30 inch tire on a Teryx is a good size for it. If you ride lots of road. Look at a System3 XCR350 or a Sedona trail saw. If you stay off the road and in the trails. Get a Carnivore or Rip saw or a motoravage.

Defender I would run a 5-2 offset with a 14" rim and beadlock for dure. You could also do a 4-3 offset. I like the Raceline or Sedona Beadlocks. Fairly priced and tough as all get out.

If the factory rim offset is 6+1 then wouldn’t a 4+3 offset be an extra 4 inches of width and not 6 ? Because you already had the +1 on each side and same for 5+2 ?

Thanks for watching. No the 4 inches in the inside inset. The 3 is the outside offset from the hub. The rim is 7 inches wide and 4 inches goes toward the inside and 3 inches toward the outside.

i have a 23 defender xt9 , its 62 model, id like to get to the 65 like the hd10 without changing suspension or even spacer if possible,im thinking the 5x2 offset would get me the 3-4 inches , not sure on front and rearwheels , id like to keep the tires tracking true all around, could you tell me which offset id need all around thank you

Thanks for watching. In the case to widen the machine out the offset wheels will do that. If I was doing it on a defender and wanted the rear to match the track of the front. We have put 5-2 offset on the front of the machine and put same style of wheel on back with offset of 4-3 to get the look right with out using spacers on the rear wheels.

Thanks for watching. For most 95% of riders you will not notice the offset changing the suspension performance. The tires and air pressure change the suspension performance the most.

Good evening I have a 2021 Honda talon 1000r I had superatv GDP portals installed my wheels are 7x15 5-2 offset and the tires are 35x10x15 when I mount them on ,the upper control arm is so close to the tire about 1/2 inch what could I do please help thanks

Thanks for watching. What brand wheel do you have that is a 5-2. You might need to go to another wheel with the same offset or switch it up to 4-3 offset. Wheel manufactures state numbers and it can say one thing and be another. We have seen it here first hand when we put a wheel on a machine that is reads a 4-3 but is in reality a 5-2 on the machine.

I have a 2022 Defender Limited and would like to go up to a 28” tire on all 4 tires but not have to upgrade suspension or use spacers. Do you recommend 4+3 offset for all for wheels and what size tires would you suggest for all 4 tires?

Thanks for watching. We have put 30 inch tires on most all our Defender Limited models. We like to use a 4-3 offset and some time we will use a 5-2. But go 4-3 if you can get it. Keep in mind that you might have to adjust your shock settings, but it dont cost more money. We at the dealership always crank the shocks to the tallest setting just to make sure that larger tires can be put on the Defender Limited.

Thanks for watching. I would say it would be 68 inches wide. Most wheel companies are not exact on what they call a 5-2 offset. I have a 5-2 offset wheel be more offset than another wheel companies 4-3 offset. So it your really concerned about width make sure to do your homework on wheel brand having the correct offset.

Thanks for watching. No we don't have any wheels like that. You will have to get a 3 piece wheel so you can get that offset. We have not seen that offset on any wheels we sell.

I have a 2020 Rzr turbo S. Im building it towards racing for short track and wide forest trails. Over here in New Zealand we have to run beadlocks to race. The cost of a 4+3 is half of that of a 6+1 or 5+2. How terrible will it feel with 4+3's on ? will the cornering be that bad ?

Yeah that would do well on that machine. Most X3 120hp leave with a 5-2 offset and some 30 or 32 inch tires. That set up your talking about will do great.

Thanks for watching. A plus 38mm is about 1 1/2 inch off the hub towards the outside of the machine. The 10mm I dont know what company has that wheel but we would assume it is zero offset. Flush with the lug nuts basically.
