To be fair to the writer. He presented a script that everyone says was basically a masterpiece, and it was butchered by executives, producers, and other parties into the "producer's cut" which was then butchered even more into the theatrical cut.

I disagree, part 6 had some of the most brutal kills in the franchise and Myers was vicious. The cinematography is excellent and the Halloween vibe is strong. The story obviously suffered major problems throughout, but I have more fun with this movie than H20, part 5, Resurrection, or any of the Rob Zombie movies.

While I enjoy pretty much everything you have reviewed (I really do), and while I usually agree with your opinions from each review (again, I really do) I have to disagree on this one.. to each it's own, I guess? :P But for some reason, the weeping michael, the Jean grey-jamie lloyd and the off screen kills (not to mention the... "colorful" first scene), make Halloween 5 rank lower than this, by quite a bit. That's not to say this one is good, just not as bad? .. Again, this is just for me. True. However, Halloween: Resurrection gave the middle finger to Jamie Lee Curtis and the awesome ending to part seven. They did it for the money of course. I think i hate part 6 just a little less because it came off of something that wasn't that great to begin with (Part 5) but it still tried to make sense of it while Resurrection just spat in the face of the whole franchise in front of the camera. What else is baffling is that part 8 was directed by the guy who did Halloween II '81..... You'd think he'd show a little more care for the character that he had 25 minutes of screen time for in Halloween II *Wink*

Plus Halloween: Resurrection was a total gimmick cop-out trying to capitalize on the found footage genre (In a lot of scenes) that the Blair Witch Project made popular and it was a scream-phase cash grab. It's true that Part Seven was that too (Made during the scream phase) but it was done much better and had nice homages. I also feel Halloween 6 felt more like it took place on Halloween than Part 8 from what i remember. I haven't watched the movie in a while so the fine details of atmosphere and cinematography escape me for that movie lol

Halloween 6 : The Crap of Michael Myers is (IMO) the worst of the franchise (yes, its worse than Resurrection) and one of the worst horror movies ever. First of all: Both versions (theatrical and producers cut) suck balls. They are not THAT different. The theatrical cut has those stupid flash editing, and wastes Jamie Lloyd; the producers cut goes deeper into the stupid Thorn plot and ... ugh... clearly states that Myers breeded his niese Jamie! WTF!? This movie killed the franchise and it was only revived because Jamie Lee Curtis wanted to cash in on Scream and her former scream-queen fame. Thank god, because H20 is miles better than 5 and 6. P.S:" I think these are cool" is obviously a reference to Beavis & butt-head which were a big thing in the 90´s.

When it comes to Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers it's time for me to give my many, MANY mixed thoughts. Things I liked: George P. Wilber as Michael Myers. He upped his game since 4. His mask was the best since the first movie and his performance felt the most brutal and dangerous given how gory his kills were. In fact, I wish he could have in Halloween H20. Would have made the movie even better. I also liked the atmosphere because it felt both unique, eerie, and intense all at once. The score is great too and is on par with the first four movies. What I'm mixed: Two words, Paul Rudd. I sometimes joke and call this movie "The Curse of Paul Rudd" but in all honesty I'm in the middle on his performance. I get what they were going for. They obviously wanted a character that was so obsessed with Myers that he'd be willing to go through any lengths to stop him and become the next Loomis. To be fair, Tommy Doyle dose fit the bill. The kid was obviously both curious and terrified of Michael ever since he was a boy, so it would make sense for him to grow up that way. I also think the rest of the cast is okay. Not as memorable as the casts from the first four movies but they serve their purpose. What I hated: (No offense to anyone who liked this movie) I don't like the whole cult Idea and there are a lot of people who'd agree with me. When you try to control evil, you can't. It's like trying to control a cold or nature, it's a force all until itself and will air on the side of killing you and that by that logic, the Cult of Thorn shouldn't have been able to control Michael to begin with given how unpredictable he was.

Your WAY too harsh on this film. Sure the story sucks weather in the producers or theatrical cut. But I love the atmosphere, it feels like a Halloween film all over again, because 5 didn’t, I love Micheal’s look, he looks like any other middle-aged man, the mask looks really really scary, the best mask since 2. This is also one of the best Micheal’s since 2, he moves really fast, he is really pissed off, and the kills are the best in the series. It scared me as a kid. I understand people have different opinions, and I don’t have anything against your opinion, you like what you like and I like what I like.

I have a love hate relationship with this movie. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. Iv seen both cuts of it and I think I like the producers cut better had they not gone in that incest bullshit. The producers cut feels like a actual film. In the cut that was released to theaters I like the heavy metal style soundtrack, it had better kills and i loved that Michael killed the retarded cult and how its gorier. Both cuts have there pros and cons and i rather watch this then resurrection.

Personally, I have a love-hate relationship with this movie. I really only like the hospital scenes.. the editing is really weird, like the house murder scene. The hospital attack scene was edited pretty badly yet I kinda like it because I think it could mean it’s not only the cult controlling his evil as he kills the cult. I am a little confused about Tommy.. the last time he saw Myers was when running away from the house in Halloween 1. How does he know about the thorn curse? I must’ve missed something.. Back to the hospital scenes (the one after Wynn is discovered to when Michael is hit with a pipe a bunch of times), the only scenes I like. Michael is actually pretty creepy in these scenes and a little aggressive because of the kills (except for Wynn’s death..) and his walkspeed. I highly agree they should’ve used almost all of the producer’s cut scenes (ESPECIALLY the ending). But I disagree about the reason why Jamie was pregnant.. I do think there is some suspense in it, mainly the hospital scenes. The problem with the movies H2 - H6 have a problem, randomly killing off people who become useless real quick. (Like Laurie, Rachael, and that one dog) At least Jamie’s death in the producer’s cut was a a better conclusion, unlike the theatrical version where she just gets killed by Michael in the first 15 minutes or something. These are most of my opinions on the movie. I don’t like it that much but the hospital scenes were simply enjoyable just for watch to me. The story was pretty bad and there were many plot holes, especially the ending. Also, what do you think about the Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 mask? (Because it certainly is a strange one)
