Thank you for your very interesting video. How to retrieve the label value from the API value in the word or email model from a picklist ?

If I understand your question, you're asking how to find a field based in the label versus the API name? If you're using the Conga Quick Start Wizard, you can see and query for the field labels as shown in this screenshot app.screencast.com/ogVBZzxLUeceS

This is awesome....what if you want to change the template afterwards, cause you can't go back to add templates and edit it, your forced to create a new one....

YES!!! You can absolutely update templates as often as necessary. If the original template was in an MS Word format, for example, you can simply navigate in Salesforce to your Conga Templates library, find the template you want to update, download the most recent MS Word document that serves as the current template, open it and modify as needed in MS Word, and then re-upload it as a new version of the same template. Users don't need to do anything at all.

Thank you for this video. On the guided setup, Add Templates, when I click Create new template, an error message "error to retrieve metadata." What does this mean and do you have a solution on how to fix this?
@Brainiate5 ай бұрын
I'm glad you found the video helpful. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with that particular error. I would suggest reaching out to Conga Support to ensure that your configuration is appropriate. (Also, FYI, sometimes an updated release from Salesforce, or even an internal change in your company's Salesforce instance - could cause a visibility issue to be introduced unexpectedly). Either way, Conga Support should help you troubleshoot to determine the root cause so that you can get it resolved quickly.

@@Brainiate Yes, very helpful! I am new to Conga as of 2 days ago and still trying to figure out how to use just Conga Composer to do a bulk print for donor letters. I will reach out to Conga about that error message. Good point about SF refreshes. Thank you!
