Too many people are tragically miseducated about why the Second Amendment exists. I don't blame these people because they've been taught that the Second Amendment is about hunting and sports shooting, except it's not.
Not only is it the people's right to fight back against a tyrannical government, but the Declaration of Independence said it's their DUTY!
All this nonsense about needing more than AR-15s to fight back against a tyrannical government is simply bully talk.
The founding fathers went to war against one of the most powerful armies in the world and won.
So miss me with the whole idea that the people can't go up against a tyrannical government, so we'll just sit and take it.
The Second Amendment doesn't guarantee that the people would win against a tyrannical government, but our chances are a lot greater fighting with ARMs (firearms) instead of just arms (muscles).

Except they HAVE taken it away. The ATF exists. Firearms are Regulated, controlled, and there are weapons you can not own or use. You can not own a tank. you can not own a warship, you can not own a nuke. "Shall NOT Infringe" does not mean "We will let you have some weapons, but not others." It also does not say "Guns" It specifically says "Bare Arms" As in ANY weapon, be it Sword, Gun, Explosive C4, or a Fleet Carrier War Ship. We LITERALLY had NO WEAPONS in the army during the CIVIL WAR, 100 years AFTER the founding, and all the Warships and guns used by the soldiers and blockaid of the south were owned and on loan by citizens, when the conscripted men didn't bring their own gun to use. It is only RESENT history that guns were HEAVILY Regulated, that the military was VASTLY more armed that Citizens, and laws put in place that Citizens can NOT be just as armed, or more, than the Military with "Military Grade Weaponry", such as Tanks, Wars Planes, War Jets, and War Ships. Sorry, but the Second Amendment is already dead. They don't need to take your guns away, cause they already have more firepower than all citizens combined, and have stripped your ability to fight them back by restricting the guns that could fight against their superior gear and weaponry.

But what you don't know, is that when the idea of adding the amendments to the constitution, it was originally rejected. They literally rejected it because, and I roughly quote, "because the Constitution itself will so constrain the government, that amendments wouldn't be needed". The vastly underestimated the ability of people to find loopholes. Luckily, I think it was Massachusetts that still demanded it be included.

Written by a United States Marine! (50-Years Ago!) VICTIMLESS alcohol-related traffic offenses eternally remove 2-A rights which can never be expunged. They're eternal 2-A felonies! (By Nexus with Federal law) The Victimless DUI convictions I had received were nearly 50 years ago! (VOID OF ACCIDENT, INCIDENT OR VICTIM permanently remove the 2-A!) All (3) DUIs were victimless and acquired after returning home after serving (6) years as a United States Marine and the last two years in Iran during the Iranian hostage crisis as a foreign interrogator! (1979) (M.P.) Coming back to the States was difficult ... Many veterans at the time weren't as fortunate having decided to take their own lives rather than fight the head demons of gore and smell of war. (23/Marines commit suicide every day!) Alcohol was the only relief nearly 50 years ago before having my own family and grandchildren! I had honorably served my country as a United States Marine (Honorably Discharged) and cannot even possess a single bullet for life ... Victimless DUI laws allow the driver to retain the driver's license, the vehicle, and voting rights but not the 2-A Right of protecting family, life, and wealth! Improper laws invent eternal Felons out of victimless non-violent offenses to abrogate the 2-A in the guise of public safety! The victimless DUI debt of 2-A slavery can never be repaid in Michigan: Texas allows DUI and all convicted felons after 5-years to possess firearms within their homes to protect life. The military and government didn't have any problems testing Agent Orange on citizens. They did it in Miami and Globe,Arizona. When people started getting sick they used the mine and smelters as their scapegoat. The farthest my dad went to during Vietnam was Japan. He has done tests recently and it's shown that he was exposed to Agent Orange. He did it cause of how many of his grandchildren have been diagnosed with ASD. I myself have seizures on both sides of my brain. The backside of my left is completely smooth it didn't form out all the way. My neurologist asked if my dad went and I told him no and I asked why. He told me that cause of how my brain was my daughter's ASD and five nieces and nephew's having it. That could be the only explanation. Cause of how it spliced into his DNA. He was the one who told us about the testing. He said that it splices by getting into the blood stream from the respiratory system. That's why so many soldiers got cancer. Also in the late 50s and 60s the EPA wasn't as strict on things. Cause I have been seeing children from two towns that have another mine and smelter. The owners then buried chemical waste under the ground. Many of them are going to my neurologist's office.

Are you suggesting that someone would willingly direct American troops to preform egregious acts requiring American citizens to take up arms to preserve themselves, their families and their way of life? Even by saying that sentence alone, your acknowledging that a tyrannical order can be given. Just look at Ukraine. Israel. South America. Africa. All over the globe proves you are your own first responder. When your life is hanging in the balance and seconds count. Do you want a life saving tool? Or do you want a phone call? “For evil to succeed, good has to do nothing.” If your okay with nazi bullies gassing and performing genocide on Jewish peoples then openly acknowledge they, the Jews, have no reason to bear arms to defend themselves. Learn from history. Furthermore, to keep checks and balances, the people, the American tax paying citizens, should have the exact same technology at their disposal as military endeavors. What?! Why?! Look what the US and British government did to native Americans. When the tech isn’t laterally on the same playing field annihilation occurs. Of course, stacking the deck is always in one’s best interest when they have dubious and unscrupulous plans. Only enemies disarm each other. Friends and brothers have nothing to worry about except admire the strength of their growing family. Human history shows laying down arms creates easy targets, easy targets historically end up dead.

James Madison explicitly defines why an armed citizen is essential to a free nation. In fact, he wrote that a ratio of 25:1 armed citizens vs standing army is ideal. That is what we now have. Madison also wrote that if the nations of Europe were armed, their governments would be toppled overnight.

Just a few years ago I had this conversation with my sister. She was astounded that the 2nd amendment was specifically for the people to protect themselves from government control. She even argued it was for personal defense and hunting. It took awhile and researching (I had to do it for her) that it was to protect us from our own government. And she was almost 60 years old! ❤️👍🇺🇲
