The Joint Congress of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society, the Canadian Geophysics Union, and the Eastern Snow Conference will be held in Saskatoon in the spring of 2022. The theme of the congress is “Science serving society”, reflecting that the service to society is the primary motivation for our science. Water, climate, weather, oceanographic, and geophysical services are essential to our society and will be increasingly required to adapt to climate change and our rapidly shifting global environment. In Canada and around the globe, there has been a renewed focus on the creation and delivery of services, and a corresponding increase to research funding directed to applications and policy support. Science is itself an invaluable and fundamental service to society. We welcome you to join us from May 29 to June 2 2022 at TCU Place in Saskatoon to discuss many aspects of service development and delivery in water, climate, atmospheric, ocean, and earth sciences.
