Congressman announces plan to ensure government officials aren't immune to prosecution

The Supreme Court's ruling Monday that former presidents are immune to criminal prosecution has prompted pushback across the country.
Some lawmakers are rallying to get that decision overturned.
Rep. Joe Morelle (D-NY) said he's authorizing a constitutional amendment that, if approved and ratified, would ensure no government official is immune to prosecution.

Um actually they have only corrected what was done in the past, that itself was Unconstitutional when certain procedures were introduced. The SCOTUS is the part of the three branches who has final say what is and isn't Constitutional granted to them by the Constitution. They also is the one who set tone how a Law is the last say in how the Laws are enforced. Congress was given the power to make, and vote Laws into existence. Executive Branch is the one who overseas the execution of the Laws. Plain and simple.

This is the problem. The President and the rest of the Executive Branch aren't allow to make new laws. That power is in the hands of the Congress only. Just the SCOTUS court then sorts out and find if Laws are constitutional and what a Law mean and how it is applied. The Executive Branch job is to make sure Laws are applied equally to everyone as expressed by the SCOTUS rulings.
