This is impeccable? This is art? I've got to watch this a dozen more times to really let it all sink in but it is just beautiful every frame is tasty delicious. The character designs are perfect. So many beautiful moments. When you had Daniil throw the panacea out of the window like he knows he'll lose it only for Artemy to catch it and transition to the waking world... I have a moment like that drafted in a fanfic and I screamed a little when I saw it. Poor Daniil, this animatic really emphasizes how he's been saved from his fate by having his agency taken away I feel. He has to be saved from the Pest in the Marble Nest sequence, has to be saved from his own fanatical devotion to the Tower, at the end he's taken home to be cared for, and yet he still is consumed by being unfree. That's how I read the ending I guess.

Even in the world of Pathologic, there is something kinda wholesome implying the the Haruspex would provide the Bachelor some comfort during his darkest hour. Kinda one of the only forms of humanity shown in this world.

Bachelor survived, but for what? The greatest thing ever built has been destroyed. If this miraculous tower couldn't be saved, how could his cure for death survive against those savages. Miracle newer was out of reach. Just when he pushed towards it, others have been pulling him the other way. Now, he is there without any hope in humanity. His research was futile. His world view destroyed. The prison of coffin turned into a pit of hopelessness. And is there at the bottom. Covered by his subjects. By their unwillingness to progress.

this is INCREDIBLE, wow. the transition from marble nest to artemy curing him, the trammel on day 11, and the ending of him waking up in the lair (wearing artemy's sweater?) were some of my favorite bits!! (and thank you for including the english translation, the song is perfect)

Brilliant art and great choice of song! Really captures the futility of Daniil's struggle. Other people have mentioned the transition where Daniil drops the Panacea (so good!) but I also really love the way 1:20 is animated. The smoke from the burnt papers turning into choking threads was so clever. All the scenes and symbolism you picked fit perfectly. 11/10 Thank you for the excellent food.

I first saw this a couple days ago, probably more, and I watched it twice, adored the song, then went down into another youtube rabbit hole. Then it appeared again in my recommended, and I looked up the original song and the band Ясвена, and their music is great even if I cant speak russian. And now I'm here again, it's not actually the third time, it's more like the 7th, because I keep rewatching it and it is beautiful. The music and the visuals give me a visceral reaction by just seeing and hearing them. I love how we are viewing everything from Daniils perspective, but it seems as though the story is the Haruspex route. I love all the small details, like how at 1:43, if im reading into it right, Artemy checks how many bullets he has left and waves Daniil off, because he isn't worth wasting bullets for. I love how you explored the anger Daniil harbors against Artemy, for the destruction of the Polyhedron, how it was shown before that he was dependent on it, it peircing through his chest and his blank eyes towards the sky. The lyrics of the song fit this all perfectly and the story. It's beautiful, thank you for making it.

What ending do you think is the best to provide to the "Powers that Be" ? -On one hand, the "Humble" ending seems to be the one with the most character development for Clara, as she learns that even miracles have their destructive price. And it could teach the children that if they want the best of both worlds, they must be ready to sacrifice something of their own. -On the other hand, the "Utopian" one could teach the children that there is nothing wrong in welcoming the painful end, because something new is going to be born out of the carcass of what's old. It can be both wonderful and terrifying. It's going to depend on how you approach it. And, it's the one that demands the less sacrifice from your part. It might look selfish at the first glance. But, in contrast with the "Humble", do you really think it's worth sacrificing yourself, when you know full well the chance of repetition in the future is high ? There's nothing wrong in having faith, but only when the logical safe options present more harm than good in your calculations.

Band name is Jasvena (Ясаена in Russian). The song is Сопряжение Сфер, but my Russian isn’t good enough to tell you how to anglicize that. Hope this helped!

They are from Moscow, comprised of Olga and Oleg Vainer, and Dmitry Kovalyov. They were formed in 2011 according to one source. That’s as much as I could find easily. I’m sorry
