Its actually an Inside joke, One of Rare's employees was Nicknamed Beardy by his friends at Rare. He also loved Pepsi Max, which is later referenced When Birdy asks for "Mepsi-Pax" (and when you swap the M and the P... You get Pepsi Max!) It would've been cooler if HE voiced Birdy! (He didn't voice Birdy btw, The person who voiced Birdy also voiced Conker and the others [Except Mighty Poo, that was another person]) But its still pretty cool
