Pro tip: Make sure the HDMI cable is properly plugged in. I had no audio and it wasn’t fully inserted lol.

Make sure your hdmi supports arc. I fought for hours trying to get mine going. Went to Best Buy and got a new cable. My old cable would sync but not produce sound.

I set this all up and when I finished the sound works fine but it doesn’t show the volume number go up and down like yours did. There’s no volume numbers at all. But the volume does go higher and lower. Any way I can see the volume number? It’s very strange. I like to see the volume number. Thanks!

Is the HDMI 3ARC different than HDMI ARC? I have a Samsung sound bar currently working with an insignia Roku (HDMI ARC) that connects using ARC. HCL not worth it if I have to repurchase all the extras.

That was the purpose of this video, it has to be Roku certified or it doesn’t connect. You can try optic cable but you will have to use 2 remotes

Our Roku TCL tv doesn't have the Optical output but does the HDMI ARC. We used the HDMI cable but in the audio setting on the TV there is no option for HDMI...its says "auto" no other option for HDMI or Headphones. Is our TV too old?

Hi, I’m having a problem with the install. I have an old Panasonic receiver that has optical and RCA. I have a new TCL TV. I tired using a adapter using a converter going through the ARC HDMI to RCA, Didn’t work. Tried just using optical from tv to receiver, that also didn’t work. I’m so confused. Any suggestions?

I had issues with non certified Roku Soundbars before, most are compatible but some aren’t. You can check the firmware on the TV, try a new cable, use optical and two remotes or buy a certified Roku Soundbar… it’s a pain

What input is the TV plugged into? I have to unplug my satellite from ARC because the sound bar has to be in there in order for my Roku remote to operate the volume on it. I'm in HDMI 1 for satellite but then I have to go thru steps to connect video every time I turn the TV on, it's not automatic.
